Foreign Tourist Swallows Traffic Ticket in Odd Pattaya Incident
You're attempting to politicize a Thai term which has been around for a very long time and is used as a non-offensive euphemism to describe dark complected foreigners, usually of African descent. -

Thai Baht Expected to Slide to 35.50 per Dollar by 2025
Good explanation, thanks very much. No, they never covered foreign exchange in our junior or high school, but they should. I understand reserve currencies and pairings. Baht exchange rate matters when you’re contemplating a major purchase. -

Fox Honors Trump as 'Patriot of the Year,' Cementing Close Ties with the President-Elect
Hi @transam, I see you were targeted by the same newbie poster with a strange name who also targeted me. Seems he had a grudge and had to take it out on someone (us) and there is an old saying which is, "Life is too short to drink bad wine" and by the same token, "life is too short to argue with fools, because they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience". So it is with a great deal of satisfaction that I will put this particular poster on ignore, and may I respectfully suggest you do likewise. Too much of this type of nonsense going on at the moment IMO. PS. For the record, the new tyres I had fitted to my Swift have improved the ride no end! -

Marriage Extensions.
I have had no problems with any home visit - the OP doesn’t mention where he will be applying, just for experiences. My suggestion is that it is generally painless. The other poster has similar experiences (who is in Chaiyaphum, the OP probably won’t apply their either) asked questions by an over zealous IO. Like I said, in KKC, it’s just a formality, you file your application, the FLS check the documents efficiently and then an IO processes the visa pretty swiftly. -

I want to be a teacher
Do you think that I could marry a rich woman... Is there still time for me? Also, how can I find one here in Thailand? I am being completely serous now. After having been single for more than a decade, to date, I am ready to take the plunge...if.... She has enough money. Seriously. Also, I would not spend too much of her money. I am no Gold-Digger, by any means. -

Who lives on 20k a month ?
It’s about 3km from the city center (across dragon bridge) and they’re still building like crazy. I’m not sure who is buying the places and some seem to have stalled (future ghost buildings?). It will be great for downward pressure on the already low rents. I’m not seeing much traffic but it’s not high season yet. Haven’t seen any of these turds you’re talking about. I think it’s pretty nice here myself. -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
That is about money in the bank. IRAs and 401ks are very specialized, very rules based retirement accounts. They are in no way bank accounts. Until someone has some evidence from Thai tax experts that says differently, I don't see any evidence that the balance of retirement accounts classed as accessible PENSIONS in Thailand on December 31, 2023 is exempt at all. The taxable event happens when you make a withdrawal. I encourage people who are engaging with Thai tax experts to ask this specific question and share. We are all still learning.
