Like a virgin, I'm in a Maradona state of mind: Sometimes Pop Culture is just too much!

Dear Folks,

Do you ever find yourselves with just TOO MUCH POP in your heads?

The following is just one example of that which pops through my mind, and often:

Everybody and their Mother is blocking content these days; it seems....

Nothing to be done about this...

So, just click on YT when YT asks for it.

Anyway, what is it that you do to CHILL....

When TOO much POP is boiling your brains?

Personally, I have not yet found the answer....

Best regards,

Gamma

NOTE4:  Forgot this one....

Are you sure?

One thing I had never noticed before:

In the final moments of the Music-Video, "Papa Don't Preach", the one posted in the OP....

I gained an entirely new interpretation.......

Here is what I mean:

The stars of this video are, obviously, ...

Madonna (You recall DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN)...

AND...

Danny Aiello....

BUT...

BUT....

The thing that impressed me most about the Music-Video, Pappa Don't Preach is that....

At the very end of the video....when Danny reaches out to Maradona.....

It seems as if....

Danny is just about ready to....

Jump her bones!

If you do not believe me...then...PLEASE...

Take another look.

For sure, watching this Papa video is more titillating now than it ever was when I first viewed it, many years ago.

Brings back such good memories for me, as I am sure it does for you, as well.

Those were the good old days, indeed.

The Topic title is completely...

Error Free.

Please believe me.

(I have re-checked it, at your request.)

Thank you.

Since you're bringing up Madonna... She was trying to up her publicity by dining naked... it backfired quite badly with fans being offended by her actions.

Get scared below:

Some people find it hard to give up the limelight before it's just too late.

Still, she had her 15 minutes of fame, for sure.

It's gotten wayyyyyy too late.  Unfortunately Celebs like Ms. M. feel a need to go under the knife in order to attempt to stave off the ravages of time instead of embracing their age and accepting it gracefully.  In many cultures, Thailand included, age command a level of respect.  But so often in the West it's and endless, unwinnable race to stop the inevitable.

The result:  Living with a face which after some doctor stretches old skin over a surgically chiseled skull she ends up looking like some kind of a bad taxidermy job one would find in a back-alley, Hollywood pawn-shop.

Here are some beautiful women who are "aging gracefully."

Then Ms. M -   (gag)  It hurts to look at her.
