Georgealbert Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Authorities in Mukdahan were shocked after discovering the headless body of a 15-year-old boy floating in a neighbour's pond. The teenager's family remains suspicious about the cause of death, particularly since he had recently argued with his mother before disappearing from home. On October 23, Police Lieutenant Supakrit Noranim, a deputy investigator at Muang Mukdahan Police Station, was notified of the floating corpse in a pond at Ban Dan Kham, Mukdahan District. Officers, along with a rescue team and doctors from Mukdahan Hospital, arrived at the scene to investigate. The victim was found floating face-down in the pond, near the shore, wearing only black-and-blue tracksuit pants. His body was heavily decomposed, with skin appearing to have been damaged by fish. Upon removing the body from the water, it was clear that the head and right arm were missing. Initial examinations suggested that the boy had been dead for up to, approximately 14 days. The pond's owner recalled noticing a yellow jacket hanging on a fence two weeks prior, recognising it as belonging to her neighbour, Mrs. Ratchanee. After contacting Mrs. Ratchanee, she confirmed the jacket was hers and had been worn by her 15- year-old son, referred to as "A" (name withheld). Mrs. Ratchanee did not suspect anything wrong at the time, though her son had been missing after an argument with her. At the time of his disappearance, Mrs. Ratchanee assumed her son was staying at a friend's house, which he occasionally did. However, once authorities linked the body to the missing boy, Mrs. Ratchanee was called to identify the remains. After viewing the body, she confirmed it was indeed her son, who had been missing for over ten days. The police, together with doctors from Mukdahan Hospital, conducted an examination and are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of death. The family is awaiting further answers, with the deceased's aunt, Ms. Nittaya, 43, expressing doubt about the circumstances surrounding her nephew's death. Simultaneously, rescue teams worked to search for the missing head and arm in the pond. Despite efforts, the search had to be called off due to darkness. However, operations resumed on October 24, with a large water pump being installed to drain the pond. The missing body parts were eventually recovered by 12:30. The police are now focusing on solving this tragic case while returning the remains to the family. The boy's aunt, who had raised him for over a decade, still harbours doubts and urges authorities to uncover the truth behind her nephew's mysterious death. Picture from responders. -- 2024-10-25 5

Why ? How many 15 year old sons did Mrs Ratchanee have. I think people who know her will figure out his name. 1 1

steven100 Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 oh dear Georgealbert, so sad and yet so gruesome. Was there foul play involved as it certainly seems that way. Why didn't the mother contact the friends that he usually stayed with to see if he's ok. The story does not provide sufficient detail to make any firm analysis on what happened to the poor boy. very sad Georgealbert. RIP young boy
