Fat Tank filter

Our house in Thailand has a "fat tank" where water from the kitchen sink is run through a small plastic tank with two baffles and a basket to collect the fat.

I've never lived in a house in America with a fat tank, but I assume it's a good idea to keep fat from clogging up your pipes.

So, the old tank was a few years old and had a broken lid and was leaking, so we replaced it.

The techs dumped the fat from the old tank right into the drain.

Oh well.

The Thai cultural norm...
