A third-year engineering student from Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi lost his life late night on October 28, when his car crashed into the back of a van waiting at a red light in Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani. The collision also injured two other drivers.

The accident occurred around 23:00 at the Khlong Ha intersection on Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok Road. Police officers and rescue personnel from the Por Tek Tung Foundation were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, authorities found multiple vehicles involved in a chain collision in the right lane leading to the Kanchanaphisek Expressway. The crash began when a bronze Toyota Altis, driven by a 21-year-old male, Supeerajak, struck the rear of a white Isuzu ice-delivery van. The impact crushed the front of Supeerajak’s car and sent the delivery van into a barrier before colliding with a black Isuzu pickup and another white Toyota Altis, causing damage to all vehicles.

Rescue workers used extraction tools to free Supeerajak’s body from the wreckage. Supeerajak, a 21-year-old third-year engineering student, was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the Isuzu pickup, Mr. Jesada, and the white van, Mr. Seksan, 29, sustained injuries and were taken to Bangpakok 2 Rangsit Hospital for treatment.

According to Seksan, he had been waiting at the red light to turn toward Khlong Ha when his van was struck from behind, causing his vehicle to lose control, spin forward, and crash into other vehicles and a barrier. He suffered injuries to his leg and mouth from the impact.

Police have recorded the scene for evidence and impounded all four vehicles for further inspection at Thanyaburi Police Station. Officers will question the drivers involved to establish a clearer understanding of the accident. Supeerajak’s body has been transferred to Thammasat University Hospital for autopsy.

I wonder if he was sitting at the lights in gear foot on clutch, and no handbrake applied, a very bad driving habit that a lot of people have, even with an Auto, I always select neutral and apply the handbrake, it's how I was taught, and was explained to me exactly why you should do that "incase someone rear ends you" But of course that was in the UK.

Yep I think he is dead.

I think he meant something like: "21 year old on his phone I bet.  Now dead.  Very sad."
