A bit silly to compare a capital city with a beach resort.

And not just any resort. We’re talking about a premier beach destination that attracts discerning international travelers, creating a vibrant melting pot of the rich and famous.

https://vietnamnews.vn/life-style/expat-corner/1077361/swedish-family-share-their-good-fortunes-with-vietnamese-people.html

I could see going and helping them. If they accept loner like me.

I've visited Mae Phim, Sattahip and Bang Sarey Swedish settlements.

My ex Thai gf was with Swedish biker for 15 yrs. He got killed in crash, no helmet.

Oh, can't recall, I was offered a plot there, but honestly can't find any of the projects now.

Bangkok is more experience then Pattaya i heard.Im not been in Pattaya for 13 years.

What really surprised me was how much cheaper hua-hin is compared to Bangkok.

I was out a nigth in Bangkok and they asked 120 baht for a drink..the same drink i bought in hua-hin for 60 baht.

If you eat farang places in Bangkok (I don't, just look and compare) food can be like 250 B for breakfast and 70 B small cup of coffee. 30 steps away nice full Thai breakfast for 70 B, coffee 35 B.

There is happy customers to both, I guess.

Fresh fruits are very good and cheap too. Cheaper than Jomtien, especially bananas and red grapes. - 40% off.

Same w cooked rice; 7 B a big bag. 3x bigger than Jomtien small bag for 10 B.

As somebody ( Jose?) said "On Nut area is working class, that's why low prices. Suits me fine and gals are not snobby.

The 24/7 noise is getting to my nerves. Time to move to Jomtien beach - only ONE motobike,,,,

You seem to be very new to Bangkok. Many great value breakfasts, but the cheapest and easiest is Took La Dee which is in any Foodland Market. You can also pick up great meats and cheeses in their deli, along with a nice bakery.

The breakfast special is like under 90B. This menu is not up to date but close.
