Normally i get an email reminding me to do my 90 day report. This time there was no reminder and i've missed it by a month. Tried doing it online but in vain telling me to report to my immigration office in person immediately.

So, what can i expect ?, first time in 25 years but that won't help.

When is next extension due.

You have two options.

Wait till you have business with immigration or go anytime suitable.

The fine does not accumulate as does overstay.

The fine will be 2k

Rule #1 don't rely on reminder email. Put date into your Google calendar

Happens to many folk.

I just did TM47 this week and entered the "due date" and 15 day prior into phone calendar.

Gives automatic reminder days prior.

20th when?

In any event not important.

The fine will be 2k if you go tomorrow or wait till you have business at immigration.

There won't be any issue.

Do the extension first and then the TM47.

If extension io not happy with no 90 report receipt show him your filled in application that intend to file after extension.

My next 90-day report at 15 days happens to be on a Sunday

Assume you are referring to online notification. If so do it on Monday or Sunday.

Just don’t let the 90 day report lapse 90 days

My reply was to the OP.

He overlooked doing the 90 report.

Can happen.

He will be fined 2k.

He can do the report anytime.

Even wait till next extension or any other business with immigration..eg COR etc

And what if his passport get checked in the meantime? Then his fine will increase to 4000 baht at the least

How often has your pp been checked specifically for TM47 receipt.

It's not even in pp unless you keep it there..

My 90 day report clearly states, keep in passport, and maybe you passport doesn't get intentionally checked for the report, but passports get checked for some reason all the time.

I haven't printed off my TM47  receipt since I've been doing it on line, which is about 4 years now. And I've never had my passport checked other than at immigration since I've been here, which is over 10 years.

I'm sure the only reason they say you should keep it in your passport is that it serves as a reminder. to you when the next report is due. When you report on line they'll remind you by email anyway.

That is great. I myself haven't worn a motorbike helmet for over 30 years, and never been stopped or had an accident, though daily people get checked and fined for it, and lots of people die because of no helmet.

Now back on topic. The reason you have to keep it in the passport has nothing to do with a reminder, because the passport doesn't notify you on the due date, and people who don't do it online also don't receive an email.

The reason is that if (I admit rare event), your passport get checked, you can prove you did the report.

The only people who have the remotest interest in whether you have done your 90 day report are immigration. And unless you're one of those who do their 90 report the old fashioned way, they will only see your passport at extension time, once a year.

For the last 4 years at least, I have done mine on line and I have never printed the receipt. However it has never been an issue when I have reported in to do my extension. It hasn't even been mentioned.

I have therefor come to the not unreasonable conclusion that it is not necessary have in my passport.

As have I. In any event, I would prefer not to have to run the risk of accidentally defacing my passport when removing stapled receipts from it every 90 days or so.

My Phitsanulok Immigration stopped stapling the receipt in the passport quite a while back, and now use paper clips. IF they DO use a staple, CAREFULLY remove it, pop into 7/11 and buy some clips for about Bht 10, and they will last you longer than the passport will.
