Hi Forum,
I have a question which regards to Non Ed and Non Ed Plus visa
I am in my 2.3/3 year course and I am confused in terms of the travel without the need for a re-entry permit.

Do I only change to Non Ed plus visa when I go for my next extension (Visa ends July 31) or is it possible to already change to it?

Best

I don't know what your "2.3/3 year course" is.

You can leave Thailand any time without a re-entry permit and then enter Thailand visa-exempt if you qualify for it or with a visa of any type.

What is the Non Ed Plus visa you are talking about?

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

It was part of the new package of measures that created the DTV.  There's just not much clarity on it, but I do know that some people have already received it.  I haven't heard anyone comment about the re-entry part though.

If you haven't extended since Non-Ed Plus came into effect, I'd imagine that you still need a re-entry permit to keep your current extension alive. I haven't read that the change is being applied retroactively to existing extensions, and it would be a bad idea to rely on that.
