No. He made many promises. Deporting legal immigrants is one he will not be able to follow up on. Thankfully.

He will be able. All he has to is cancel their temporary emergency status for Haiti and pay for required hearings which won't make make any difference if their status is cancelled.

How can he not do this after he has promised this so loudly?

They're eating the dogs. They're eating the cats.

The world press will be watching Springfield specifically because of that.

The Haitians, at least many of which we are speaking about came here with the condition it was temporary. To think it would lead to permanent legal status was wishful thinking and Biden was cruel to offer this illusion. The longer they stay the harder it will be to go back. If conditions warrant it, they should go home ASAP as staying here is sort of cruel when ultimately they don't meet immigration requirements for permanent residency.

How? The gangs are shooting at aircraft now. They were granted temporary protection until 2026. Why should they be sent back now? Is the infrastructure fixed since the typhoon? That's why they were granted temporary US residence. Biden never offered an illusion that those people would be able to stay permanently. Are the good US born citizens of Springfield running out of pets?

Okay go hit higher priority targets for removal and revisit it in 2026 and clear it out. I wouldn't leave my pugs on the porch if i lived there. I lived in Laos and we had VN workers come to the island all of the time. You kept your pets inside.  No joking folks.

I watched an interesting "dissection" of the concept of mass deportation of illegals last night.

Granted it was on MSNBC, and it was presented by Lawrence O'Donnell, so it was the work of the antichrist (the horns and forked tail were well disguised though. Some interesting statistics though: 11 million estimated for deportation, some 800,000 "law enforcement officers" of every shape size and agency in the USA. 13 illegals to be tracked down per policeman! Estimated cost $300 billion, annual budget of the entire department of justice 50 billion!

So call out the National Guard ( take them away from their civilian occupations - a huge economic cost) but you would have to pay them.

Nothing on this scale has ever been attempted before, anywhere. Even Germany ( leaving aside any political commentary) only managed to round up and expel 6 million, and that took them the best part of a decade, and consumed massive resources.

Even if you assume that only 1% of cases involve some sort of miscarriage of justice that is still over 110,000 cases!

Wouldn't half get in the way of the golf!

Sorry about the multiple copies - I am not sure what happened there!

Regardless of the circumstances the Haitians will be top of the list for removal (after convicted felons) because of Politics. Maybe Trump should employ them to build the wall instead? They could reach into the US with their spanners from Mexico. One thing is for sure, if Trump does build a wall th ere will be plenty of undocumented migrants building it.

No it wont. Only Leftist Cadre like you care. Another lie in your Post title by the way, the Haitians arent "legal". They are here on sufferance and need to go.

Have you apologized to the membership yet for your filthy and degrading invective you spewed on decent Americans, and for your blatant lies? You cant, that would go against the hate ridden philosophies you espouse

If you wish to stay go stay in Alaska. The USA has no need to offer prime spaces. If you want to help go learn how to build pipelines. You make big bucks doing that, otherwise leave. There is no human right for anybody illegal or not to be in the usa. Even a visa is only permission to ask to cross the border from an immigration agent.

You're wrong.

He'll be asked about Springfield often.

He's clearly and loudly made the promise.

They are definitely legal. Not citizens of course but legal.

I have nothing to apologize for. Trump is a disgusting criminal authoritarian demagogue.

They are there for humanitarian reasons. Focus.

Those can be addressed. We have millions of people that won't be an issue with. Hopefully by the time we deal with that conditions improve and we can assist those that are left on the journey home.

Gang violence and areas of control are increasing. Those words are just rhetoric.

By who? By the sycophantic press nobody listens to.

Like you. Because you are a liar and a hater.

Nothing to apologize for indeed. The end justifies the means right? That march to Socialism, all is ok. Trump is Hitler, attack his supporters! Lock them up!. Disbar them! Sue them! Insult them. Deplorables! There is a Trump sign on that lawn of the wrecked house, ignore it.

Your behavior in the run up to the election was barbaric, but we should expect no less from a rigid adherent of the ideology that leads to dudes with subguns in front of ditches

In the words of a (fellow?) Scouser:

"Eh, eh, eh, calm down, calm down!"

Your posts are beginning to sound more and more like Julius Streicher's editorials!

I don't know about threats I am not the FBI, as such not privy to that info. I do know that my husband works remotely for a company in Columbus OH. His colleagues don't leave their pets outside these days.

I think most of the "illegals" are economic migrants. As long as they can obtain work, they will come.

Want to stop migrants from coming to the US to work without proper permission? Mandate the use of E-Verify for all employers, both public and private, and impose meaningful penalties on employers, including potential jail time, for hiring those without permission to work in the US.

Without this, the rest, building walls, mass deportations, is just political theater.

People legally in the U.S.—whether they’re citizens, visa holders, asylum seekers, or permanent residents—do indeed have rights, including due process and protection from discrimination.

The Constitution doesn’t limit basic rights only to citizens; it protects persons under the law.

Even undocumented folks have certain protections, and visa holders absolutely have the right to fair treatment.
