Fire everybody! Except those at SSA. Start with Education, then Justice and Treasury. Clean out Defense, too.

Did you see the new podium the Gop House used to announce they won the Majority?

Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy to lead Trump's Department of Government Efficiency

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/elon-musk-vivek-ramaswamy-lead-trumps-department-government-efficiency

This is an excellent move by Trump to clean up the Government from years of Democratic socialism. So much money has been wasted by the left wing Democrats and it needs to stop. Musk and Ramaswamy will do an excellent job of reducing Federal waste.

Any idea how much savings that will incur for the average American Tax payer ?

This is YOUR post and YOUR link. This is where the quote is from.

Show me where it says Hegseth was awarded the V device. Actually quote it.

The quote is from YOUR link:

"he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor Device,"

"V" Device, Combat "V", Valor Device. Different terms for the same thing.

I asked another poster to actually quote the passage which says he was awarded the V device or that he got the award in combat. When you've finished gluing your exploded head together you might focus on this.

Well if Kamala could have been POTUS then i don't see the problem here. I am sure Pete could be a great assistant football coach if he wanted to as well so there is that.

"His early picks ... suggest he has a specific standard of fealty — one that ensures that those around him will not check his worst and most dangerous impulses," she wrote, saying that it can be thought of as the "January Seventh Test." "Clearing that bar are those who, after Trump incited his supporters to overturn his 2020 election defeat by storming the Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, minimized his responsibility for the bloody siege. If they managed to stomach what Trump did that day, it should be assumed they would not stand in the way of any further trampling of democratic norms that the returning president might order."

Stop lying. His bronze stars were not awarded for combat and there is no public record he ever saw actual combat.

https://military-history.fandom.com/wiki/Pete_Hegseth

Following URL talks to his background, including overseas military experience. Reading the entire  review sounds like an ideal, for trump , appointee. No experience of the complexities of running a very large organisation, but loves trump. Bet the command structure at DOD will be very unhappy.

When the purge of government departments ends, replacements will not be appointed on the basis of competence. Loyalty and political leanings will be the key prerequisites.

You should have been around for the past administration.

Hegseth did see combat but his bronze star was not awarded with the V device for valor in combat.

From the Fox article.

Another of Hegseth's tattoos is the phrase 'Deus vult' on his right bicep. The phrase which translates to 'God wills it' in Latin, is associated with the Crusades in the 11th century and was supposedly used as a rallying cry by Catholics.

'I've got Deus Vult - God Wills It - which was the cry of the Crusaders

Voters have had  enough with Woke!

The left doesn’t like his attitude , me thinks.

“His appointment could bring sweeping changes to the military, with the TV host passionately opposed to 'woke' diversity programmes and the role of women in combat”.

He kinda reminds me of the James Garner in the Movie Darby’s Rangers , dont you think so? He’ll serve at the pleasure of the soon to be  new Potus! Trump is a sucker for those straight out of central casting figures.Probably

sent in to shake things up!

The everyday soldier will love him. Life long career generals aren't too popular in the services. Trump's picks are pretty young. People are always saying we need to get the fossils out and that is what is happening. Hopefully the Pelosis of the world can die off with the McConnels and Schumers.

An interesting thing I heard is Desantis might take the open senate seat in Florica, paving the way for his wife to become governor. She is wildly popular, very capable in politics and would win easily.

Seems though some may criticize it, the strategy is take from the house and senate where they can be replaced. Some say they are cutting it too thin in the house.

The three most bloated and corrupt departments are defense, education, and justice. There shouldn't just be job cuts but salary rollbacks. These people are overpaid. I'd also like to see a public comment board, like Vivek and Elon are describing for gvt. waste, devoted to embassies and consuls, where we expats could get a say on the (lack of) services we get. Would be nice to see these people stop sitting under palm trees and taking lunch for four hours need to give us in person service for passports and everything else.

Excellent

Biden appointed 8 Republicans to government positions. Prior to that, Trump appointed 7 Democrats.

Color me surprised if even one Democrat makes it onto a government position this time around.

The dems have proven they don't deserve one. Tulsi was a dem, RFK Jr. was a dem what more do you want? I am not sure now is the time for DEL hires that benefit the dems.
