Cancel what "so called parole"?

He said he was on parole having to do 90 day reports. If he doesn't want to do them then just cancel his O visa. His choice.

I haven't done a 90 day report online yet but I do TM30 online and just email it to my Juristic who print it out for me

Really......I thought you had to print out the 90 day report and put it in your passport..

I'm sure you could find a print shop easier than spending a day at immigration.

Sorry I re-read the post for the word "parole" before posting but failed to re-read the title!

It is advised to do so but NOT mandatory and any photo type shop will print it for you if you need it!

You can also copy the PDF to your phone documents and use that instead of a printed form, which is what I do!

Online does not always work. Many times you need to report in person and the document checks start all over again.

If you think it's that easy, think again.

A printer is not required for an on line report.

A minor detail that I have overlooked for many years. Who gets to look at it anyway?

If it doesn't work go to Immigration and fix it, some people can't handle any tech

It's not a tech issue. They require in person for many things.

You won't get away with just doing things online from home. If you live here long term, it will require facing immigration in person and doing their office hassles, line queue, etc. No way around it. Some people get away with using an agent, but you have to pay.

It's not so bad.

90-day probation reports online, 3-4 times/year, 5 minutes each.

Extension day takes a few hours.  One hour drive to the big city, 30 minutes for the bank statements, then one hour (minimal wait with reservation) at immigration.  Rest of the day shopping at the mall or Homepro.  One hour drive back.

Ten minutes in January filing a tax return online.

It's more trouble getting the NGV certificate for the pickup, taking several hours in the big city.  At least we can enjoy dinner, after dropping off the truck to be inspected and insured.

It depends on how you want to live. Americans may not like it.

True. A lot of people visit early on with rose colored glasses, return home and make long term plans to move later on. They need to know the drill of living here long term before they make that move.

I don't understand.

I left Texas, and now live in Thailand.  I spend about half a day in total, a full day in a bad year, handling immigration formalities.

Why wouldn't Americans like it?

After all, that's what we signed up for when we chose to expatriate to a foreign land.  We knew the rules beforehand.

I just did mine on-line for Jomtien.  Submitted it yesterday, Sunday, and got the email with the new slip to download today.  That's fast.  Super easy--when it works.  Traveling out of the country in December so I am keeping fingers crossed that the next one I submit on-line will go thru--although posters have indicated you have to go in person after going abroad.  We'll see--maybe that will be fixed by then.
