Wise transfer lost
I signed up, but won't use it. I do the old-fashioned wire transfer. If it's a weekly or monthly thing, maybe I'll have to find a better way. it seems like Wise is not that way. -

Public shower available in Pattaya ?
I think the toilets adjacent to the "Big Tree", along near the holiday Inn, may have a shower. They are old style and it used to be quite common. The other one worth a try is the toilets under beach road at the rear of Central, many years since i used that one so can't remember. With modernisation, the old beach facilities seem to have disappeared. -

Report Defence Minister Keeps Alarm Bells Ringing: Coup Not Off the Table
Has ever anyone counted, how many times the army did a coup d'état to depose of a "democratically elected" government - based on the voters wishes? Those who have been in the land long enough might recall 17 May 1992, when the then sitting monarch, HM Bhumiphol ordered Suchinda (army) and Chamlong Simuang (elected PM) to the palace to scold the two, on their knees and elbows on the floor. His message was clear, do what the people want and not what you want (addressing the issue mainly to Suchinda but for face-saving reasons he showered both of them). They creeped backwards and next day it was business as usual - once more again HM had spoken as before in 1973 and 1976. Maybe it is time to reinstate absolute monarchy again as the democratic model with a constitutional monarchy seems to be flawed ever since its introduction in 1932 - still not understood democracy after 93 years. Phumtham Wechayachai might address the issue to his own people in uniform as the coups always and in every case originated in the barracks of the greedy - as proven countless times meanwhile. Anyhow, his statement certainly did not underline more trust into this country which, like it or not, depends on foreign business interests in investment and as a market place. -

Tourism Chinese Arrivals to Thailand Projected to Drop Nearly 30% in 2025
Chinese economy has been in doldrums for months now. The people simply dont have the disposable cash nor the confidence in future to spend in ever pricier Thailand. I found prices in Bangkok comparable to those in secondary cities in Korea and Japan, and then the push fr domestic tourism by the Chinese gov. Not looking good for Thailand for sure. -

Trump Admin Revokes Harvard’s Right to Enroll International Students
Google Ai: “During wartime and periods of heightened national concern in the U.S., universities have been scrutinized by the government due to their research activities, potential ties to foreign powers, and the perceived influence of certain ideologies on their campuses. This scrutiny has manifested in various ways, including investigations, funding cuts, and pressure on university administrations to address specific concerns”. It looks like another SCOTUS Ruling coming and it can’t come quick enough! America is so done with radical foreign students & academia chanting free free Palestine , from the river to the sea , divest, college encampments. Let the Guy who is in charge of the country help keep my country safe.
