A crash claimed the lives of four men after their pickup truck skidded off the road and slammed into a tree in Ban Rai District, Uthai Thani Province.

The incident occurred at around 23:45 on November 18 at a sharp curve on Highway 333 in Moo 12, Thap Luang Subdistrict. Police from the Ban Silathong Station and rescue workers responded to the scene following reports of a crash.

At the site, a black pickup truck was found overturned and wedged against a large roadside tree. The truck’s cabin was torn apart from the vehicle’s body and totally crushed. Inside the wreckage rescue team discovered the lifeless bodies of four men, all had suffered multiple injuries. Initial identification confirmed two of the deceased as Mr. Sarawut, 22, from Nong Ya Sai District, Suphanburi Province, and Mr. Roengrit. Authorities are working to identify the remaining two victims and notify their families.

Investigations revealed that the group had been drinking at a bar approximately two kilometres from the crash site. According to a female staff member at the establishment, the four men arrived late at night, bringing their own bottle of alcohol while ordering additional drinks.

“They appeared intoxicated, and no women joined them at their table. They seemed upset, possibly due to this, and left the bar in a huff,” she said. Shortly after their departure, news of the fatal crash surfaced.

Police and rescue teams transported the bodies to Ban Rai Hospital for formal identification and to await their families. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether excessive speed, alcohol, or other factors contributed to the fatal crash.

Was speeding involved (rhetorical question).
