I never undertood people who brag how expensive things they got. Or how much money they spend.

It may be they want to boost their poor self confidence? But come across like fools...

 

Yes, I get kick of getting what I want and paying minimum for it. Like Germans - they are "thrifty", not cheap.

 

PS. You missed one thing to make fun of too; I walked 10km rather than taking 10 THB taxi!

Why? 'cause I want to show of my flat firm stomach to my 24yr younger Thai friend. She loves my body... 😉

I've had one like this for years. A and a silver tea strainer and holder that  I brought here in 1987. I only get that out when the vicar comes to tea, to go with the cucumber sandwiches and cream and jam scones. "More tea. vicar?" 😉

That Lazada one look good, it's deep. Mine is deeper.

Just go to a dept. store like Central Chidlom, Siam Paragon, Emporium & take the time to find this or similar tool in the household dept. Look where teapots are & you will find it.

you are very lucky to find loose leaf tea.....recently i noticed how difficult it is to get Lipton loose leaf ( or t bag)  a million coffee products but alas Thais do not understand tea - thai tea is a milky affair. Only product is dimar tea which is not very good but better than nothing .Nowadays you have to buy it online - no point going to the local supermarkets or 7/11,big c , makro,lotus. Tea the most popular drink in UK. barely given a second look by the stockists of thai stores ..yet Vietnam is awash with the stuff mostly green tea.Lastly one is required to stir one's tea in the same direction as the earth spins, for a truly perfect cuppa

I got mine near Dongtan police station. It's a small messy Thai shop open 24/7. At end of row of GoGo bars.

Price 30 THB. Very good tasting!

PS. Smaller Twinings at Big C was 400 TBH. Rip off...
