It's got to go.

No room for both of us.

What is it?

Will it bite?

Is it poisonous?

A giant roach or beetle?

Could it be a bat?

So days ago I opened a screen door and this monster flew n! High floor Condo.

Perhaps attracted to light or warmth compared to outside.

First action was to try to encourage it to exit the same place it entered with a cheeky broom.

It was not having it!

It spread it's wingspan very wide and seemed to be attacking me back.

So that won't work.

Leaving the screen open doesn't work as it likes being inside.

So day and night it mostly just sits in one place but sometimes moves to a new place.

Sometimes it's  very visible as it's massive and other times its hidden.

So far I've been able to block it out of my bedroom.

As it's so big and so aggressive if bothered I'm not sure what to do.

I don't think swatting it with a magazine will work.

If it positions in a way where I can trap it in a large plastic container I'll probably try that but expect it to detect the danger so not confident that will work.

Perhaos spray it with something that will cripple it's wings? Soap? Something else?

Hit it with some mosquito repellent, while it’s out pick it up and drop in toilet. Then have a dump and flush.

If it’s gone jobs a good un , but if it flys out there could be some <deleted> at your house .

MAGAmoth

It's a Atlas Moth, Emperor Moth, or a close relative.  Beautiful creatures.  Harmless as can be.  Trump did not send it.
It's a sign of luck.  Buy a Lottery ticket.  I'm serious about the good luck 'tho.  I haven't seen one of those for about 4 years.

Just some moth, use a container with lid, cover the moth then slide the lid against the wall carefully

Yes as I said I will try that but it needs to be in a good position to do that.

If it's really a moth, that definitely doesn't sound so bad.

I recall something similar many years ago and luckily it was on the floor of my shower.

So I drowned it.

But it took about 10 flippin' minutes!

Like a horror movie it wouldn't quit.

I really felt like I had murdered something after that.

That's why I don't think something basic like a swat with a magazine will kill it and I'm skeptical about spraying it as well. I need more fire power but I forgot to pack my AK47.

Probably just a baby that got lost.

Do NOT leave the screen open as its mum might come looking for it.

Or maybe my houseguest is a preggers moth mommy.

Absolutely harmless.  When you go to bed, turn out the indoor lights and open a window.  It will fly off - attracted to light.

It have tried inviting it out but you gave me an idea as I have outdoor lighting. Worth a try but as it's hiding now it might take days to even know if it's left.
