What is unhealthy about mashed potatoes or beans. Maybe you should just stick to Thai food with lots of sugar.

There is even Thai food without sugar. Didn't you know that?

I think there was some more on the plate. Did you forget it? Then read again. Old age could be cruel. Take it easy.

Has anyone tried the Bangers 'n Mash at Frasers? I've had some great pub meals there and this looks good

All the food is good in Frasers. Don't think I have ever had a bad meal there...

Absolute rubbish. There are so many great English dishes, the most popular being Tikka Masala. A real steak & kidney suet pudding is so good. Roast lamb with mint sauce. A bacon butty. Tater hash. Yorkshire puds.

not forgetting pie and mash, and jellied eels

Sausagemeat with high pork content (85% minimum), salt and pepper is all u need for a basic sausage but you need proper sausage skins. Loads of recipes on YouTube, they should be easy to make if you can get the raw materials.

FWIW I've not had any decent restaurant-served sausages in Thailand versus what I'd cook myself in the UK (I don't buy the Richmond/Walls ones that KannikaP rightly derided and seems to be the usual standard or worse seen in Thailand). I'm sure they are out there. but if u can make your own they will be better.

I cook my sausages in the oven btw rather than frying. Makes skins crispier and sausages less fatty. Grilling or frying are the alternatives.

Roasted with the Christmas turkey or chicken was always my favourite. I expect an air fryer would do similar. There, that's my seasonal comment.

I tend to make my own sausages and I have started to grill them along with homemade honey and mustard bacon, cut very thick.

I must get my eyes tested one day. The good thing is that there is no human blood or bits of finger in the bacon slices.
