ukrules Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago They should have stuck with Biden, screwing him over lost it for them. Meh.
Hanaguma Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Jing, you can stop campaigning. Or don't, it really doesn't matter at this point. Trump is your President-elect, he won both Houses of Congress, won the popular vote, won the Electoral College. Polling shows that Americans by a large margin support his cabinet choices and policy direction. Interestingly, by a larger margin than the election victory. Time to BOHICA and relax. 1
baansgr Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I don't think you have a right of opinion on this matter. It's not your tax dollars that will be paying for the millions and millions of scrounging, crime ridden inbreds that need to be got rid of...your the other side of the world, not your business, you dont have to put up with it 👍

Your lot lost, accept it and move on 1 1

JimHuaHin Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago As of this time, Trump has 50.0% of the vote, Harris 48.4%, others 1.6%; Trump does not have a mandate. 1
cdnvic Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Removed some posts that would have been valid criticism, but for some reason the poster had to add personal insults in.
Patong2021 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 8 hours ago, Jingthing said: Trump has definitely not been following the rules and you don't even know the definition of mandate. man·date noun the authority to carry out a policy or course of action, regarded as given by the electorate to a candidate or party that is victorious in an election. https://politicaldictionary.com/words/mandate/ Broadly, a mandate is the authority that voters confer on an elected official to act as their representative. Usually, though, a political mandate refers to the idea that a political official has been elected because the public strongly supports their platforms and wants to see them enacted. A political party often declares a mandate after a wave election. Donald Trump’s first election staggered the media and led to a rash of articles debating whether the new president had a mandate. For some, it was clear. As the AP reported, then-Speaker Paul Ryan called Trump’s victory “a repudiation of the status quo of failed liberal progressive policies.” Critics, however, argued that Trump did not have a mandate because he had won the electoral college but had failed to win the popular vote. This time, Trump has won both the electoral college and the popular vote. He also carried the Senate and the House. The man has a very obvious mandate. To deny this is to deny reality.

US citizens will most certainly be affected in a positive way. Why bother yourself with hacking in desperation for phantom negativities?
connda Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Interesting article by a psychologist reflecting on the psychological morass that his Left-leaning, progressive clients have fallen into regarding the Trump phenomenon. This article does not pass judgement or disparage any of these people. It's just a psychologists reflections on the real angst of his clients post-election as well as a discussion regarding what the real cause may be. I forward this article as it describes the same conditions as many of our "liberal" members on this forum who are obviously really hurting and are having issues adapting to this current reality. https://americanmind.org/salvo/the-libs-are-not-alright/

spidermike007 Posted 13 minutes ago Posted 13 minutes ago I agree he does not have a mandate, he won slightly less than a majority of popular votes, and the election was closer than a lot of his supporters would like to admit. If it weren't for the silly and ridiculous electoral college. However having said that, as a Democrat I can admit that Harris was a horrific candidate, this is a huge repudiation of the Democratic Party and their willingness to pander to the progressive left, whom I despise, and whom a lot of Centrist Democrats also despise. Trump tapped into the popular sentiment, people don't want to be told how to think, how to talk and how to behave, and that in and of itself is something that the Democrats have to learn. Yet to date I've seen no indication that they've expressed any interest in reform. They're talking about another run for Harris in 2028. Are they completely tone deaf? Are they completely dumb. She would be the last person in the world to consider for another run unless the Democrats are interested in long-term irrelevance.
wombat Posted 10 minutes ago Posted 10 minutes ago I would have thought getting the trifecta of votes reps senate would have been a mandate in all but the hugest idtents mind...but wadda I know.
