Definitely disagree with most your political posts but you are witty.  Welcome back from the precipice, who knows, in 4 years you might be gloating if the democrats forget about Trump and cleanup  the mess they created in their own party.

I too couldn't believe Trump won, not because his opponent was good, she wasn't but because Trump is a degenerate, a poor businessman, a liar, not very eloquent and not very intelligent. I think Kamala was chose for reasons of race and gender.

Nobody is going to clear up anybody's mess because governments world wide don't act, they react, they don't write the story they read it. Look at the pending world recession, it is causal stemming from multiple sources, governments and central banks will try to mitigate its effects (and usually make things worse) but the truth is nobody is in control of anything, it's the causal flow of life, the water is running downstream until it meets a valley. During Trump's term there will be a bad recession and large unemployment and he will be blamed which is unfair since this would come about no matter who was President. All one can say is, 'this too will pass' but it wont pass because of any one person, it will pass due to causal events over which we have no control.

I'll be happy if he arranges for Zuckerberg to be on Elon's first rocket to Mars; one way only.

I would be even happier if Musk joins him on the trip!

As I see it people looked at what was on offer and chose the one that ( despite the Dem's propaganda ) made many American's lives better the first time he was POTUS, compared to one that was in lock step with Biden, who did not make many American's lives better.

When it comes to it, people will vote on what they think will benefit them, not on any irrelevancies. I loathed Harris for many reasons, but If I were a US voter and thought she had policies to benefit myself I'd have held my nose and voted for her.

Trump may be as bad as so many accuse him of being, but it's irrelevant what their personality is when it comes to our personal benefit.

Policies  have to reflect economic realities, party leaders can promise a lot before they are in power (see Starmer). Trump isn't even in power yet but already the social security and medicare cuts are looming and his wished for trade wars are harbingers of higher inflation and blockchain disruptions. He is threatening Brics with 100% tariffs if they ditch the dollar, it hasn't occurred to him that times are changing, America is no longer all powerful and the dollar isn't as strong and stable as it once was, America's bullying has brought new boys to the block who are forming alliances and they will succeed, America's short lived empire is teetering on the edge of collapse, it will seek isolation at first but this will cut it off from competition in which innovation thrives and it will be left behind. Next year 40% of America's debt matures, it will be interesting to see if the world is willing to finance 15 trillion dollars further and to what conditions. The bully is cornered and instead of confrontation it will now have to negotiate and its representative, Trump, isn't liked or respected.

I don't think a dinner with Trump will save him even if he seems to have a had a Damascene conversion.

If you saw Zuckerberg being interrogated and recently grovelling in Congress over the bad influence of teenagers addicted to Instagram and Facebook he has to face a reckoning. That doesn't include the $430 million he spent influencing the 2020 election.

Not sure what congress can do about the modern paren;'ts inability to raise their children. 90% of parents i know do not have parental controls or the password to the device they give their children at ages that are way too early. Adults are literally afraid to take an iPad from their kid. It should be law that the master password for anybody under whatever age has to be assigned to the parent at time of purchase. Once you let it slip it is hard to take back control.

Also make location tracking mandatory for the devices of minors. When you set the device up enter the kids birthday and location services will not turn off until the kid is 18. This can be kept on every device subsequently purchased through the account.

yeah Meta has been a monster in my portfolio. It appears that Zuck wants some sort of post in the Trump admin in regards to AI advisor or similar. I don't think Zuck has much to worry about from the DOJ. Biz leaders are becoming unwoke really fast and falling over themselves to abandon the dems and join the true leader.Perhaps the dems should begin to worry if they adhere to the same operating practices they did under dem leadership.
