Biden pardons Hunter.
I have spoken to many experts in addiction. Experts that will tell you the REALITY of addiction - like "hitting rock bottom" for most people is not them getting a wake up call - it's them running out of money to get more drugs. AA of course say "everyone is an alcoholic forever" - it's nonsense - old, dated claptrap from their founder. And it helps to boost their numbers. Hence the "lost souls" there - addicted to meetings, still going after 25 years clean, Still convincing themselves they are addicted. I think they are just lonely. And that's fine. Perhaps you have not experienced addiction personally. So my lived experience and yours are different. Mine tells me that with sufficient time - the past is in the past - the demons are away for good. The risk is no longer there. That you have done the last "dip your toe in the water for old times sake" - and found the 'magic' was no longer there. Maybe your journey was one of buying into what AA told you - that you need to join and be a member forever. More power to you if that's what you need. It just doesn't make it true. -

Biden pardons Hunter.
Give this a few days. The language used in this pardon is extraordinary. It is astounding that a serving President has accused his own agencies of corruption and political targeting. The Democrat defenses written on this forum are moronic. These people don't understand the true meaning of what has happened here and been committed to government record. I've already read enraged texts by high profile Democrat supporters. I've also seen law Professors stirring. Biden has declared war on the FBI and DOJ. He is expected to also pardon his brother in January. While the brigade of idiots refuse to see that MAGA is over the moon with this pardon, I predict serious players emerging to "Clooney" Biden again before he causes more lasting damage to the Democrats. The 25th Amendment would be on the table if Harris wasn't so useless. -

Bhumjaithai Party Backs Pheu Thai's Call for Open Debate on 2001 Thailand-Cambodia MoU
File photo for reference only The Bhumjaithai Party has thrown its support behind a proposal made by Pheu Thai list MP Noppadon Pattama to hold a parliamentary debate on the 2001 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Thailand and Cambodia. This MoU pertains to the joint development in the Gulf of Thailand. Noppadon's proposal aims to prevent political unrest by encouraging open discussions among MPs and senators in the upcoming parliamentary session. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister, and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, has endorsed the proposal, responding under Section 152 of the constitution. He highlighted that parliamentarians have the right to initiate such discussions, as long as they are grounded in facts and sincere intentions. Anutin assured the public that the government under His Majesty the King would never give away national benefits or territory for financial gains, urging citizens not to worry. He expressed confidence that there would be no national concessions, citing historical precedence. The debate's necessity remains uncertain, as Anutin suggested that the decision rests with the Parliament members, while affirming that the government is prepared to address any issues that may arise. However, Chousak Sirinil, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, argued that such a debate might be unnecessary as the issue has been extensively discussed since its origin. He dismissed concerns about Sondhi Limthongkul, former leader of the now-defunct People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD), potentially organizing protests if the debate does not occur. Deputy PM and Defence Minister Phumtham Wechayachai acknowledged Noppadon’s suggestion as worthy of consideration but stressed the importance of consulting with coalition parties. He noted the ongoing development of the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) between Thailand and Cambodia, which will handle negotiations according to various legal standards, including international maritime laws. Phumtham reassured that Cambodia acknowledges Thailand’s control over Koh Kut island in Trat province, and he downplayed concerns about opposition pressure in Cambodia to claim the island. Efforts are underway to validate information and combat misinformation, promoting mutual understanding between the two nations. This initiative highlights the importance of factual accuracy in strengthening diplomatic ties. -- 2024-12-02 -

Viral Clip Shows Foreign Man Swimming in Bangkok’s Filthy Khlong Saen Saep
When on a tour on a longtail boat from the Oriental Hotel (cost about 5 GBP/night; seemed kind of expensive) I recall seeing happy, healthy-looking children swimming in a khlong not far from there on the Thonburi side. Must have been pretty bad for natural pollution, but without the industrial poisons of today. A little over 57 years ago. -

Tea
I’ve tried a few teas in my time, and Glyco Cleanse Tea is one I came across when I was looking for something to support digestion and detox. I didn’t expect much at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a mild, soothing flavor—not too herbal or overpowering, which I liked. After drinking it for a few weeks, I felt lighter and less bloated, which was a nice bonus. Unlike other detox teas I've tried, I also liked that it didn’t upset my stomach. Of course, everyone’s experience is different, but the reviews on glyco cleanse tea reviews were spot on for me. If you’re curious, it might be worth giving it a go!
