Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Like JBChiangRai recommended don't go for a 3 phase 11KW wall charger, because although your EV may have a 3 phase 11KW onboard charger capability the electrical design of/communications between the EV's onboard charger and wall charger is for the EV onboard charger to only accept 16A per phase when hooked up to a 3 phase 11KW wall charger. But when hooked to a single phase 7KW charger the onboard charger will accept up to 32A/7KW. If you want to go with a 3 phase wall charger to help "future proof" what you might need/want for EV AC charging then go with a 3 phase 22KW wall charger if you home has the required electrical service where each phase will be able to output approx 7KW.....these three 7KW outputs gives you the 22KW charging capability "if" your EV comes with 3 phase 22KW charging capability. -

Was Ex police officer Derek Chauvin wrongly convicted !
Condemning a deliberate police murder of a subdued man doesn't equate to being on a high horse. Well maybe the racists on the forum think it does - that's fine with me, I would rather be on the horse than down in that pit of filth. -

Getting 'Into It' with a taxi driver.
well it shocked him and he blew his top. He was already hot under the collar so maybe a farang asking him what's wrong just tipped him over the edge! -

UK Job Market Struggles Amid Tax Hikes: Hiring Crisis Deepens
Are you sure ? The announcement yesterday was 2.8% rise for public sector workers which is not keeping up with inflation and if a rise of 5.5% ( pay review bodies recommendation ) was given it would cost 10 billion pounds . Teachers & NHS unions have intimated that industrial action may well happen . Starmer said that pay reviews above inflation would have to be met with productivity improvements . So I am supposing that the train drivers did just that ? A national strike to call for a new election could happen and the Reform Party will walk it . The last Tory governments under performed but this Labour gang of muppets are taking the UK to the brink of ruination and no return . Still the rubber boats arrive and that figure exceeds 20,000 illegals in the 5 months of this pathetic , so called government . Italy is now deporting every illegal immigrant with no delays . Bravo , I say and scrap the ECHR . The UK current economic woes are unsustainable . -

Reduced tax on wine has it happened anywhere on Phuket island?
Yes, that's pretty much my take on matters too. A bottle of bog standard Moet used to be around the 3,500-4,000 Baht mark, but now you can get it for around 2,500 Baht. Also Taittinger and Bollinger are available at under 3,000 Baht a bottle. Given that these wines cost around 50 quid a bottle in Heathrow duty free, the local mark-up and tax is much less than it used to be. My go to fizz these days is the excellent Breton Fils, especially the rosé which is an great buy at around 1,600 Baht a bottle. -

ICE vs EV, the debate thread
No, course it isn't. Puny little three cylinder engines are known for their silence, especially under strain (which it is - all the time). Luckily on the very rare occasion when you can actually hear it is purrs like a cat.- 1
