An incident claimed the life of a local farmer in Ban Khwao, Pakhiab Subdistrict, Khu Mueang District, Buriram Province, when his own walking tractor tragically caused his death.

The incident was reported to the Sawang Chanayatham Buriram Rescue Unit, Khu Mueang branch, at approximately 15:25 on December 13.

When rescue workers arrived, they found the lifeless body of the victim, a male, whose name has been withheld for privacy reasons. According to initial findings, the man was operating his walking tractor, when it suddenly veered out of control and struck him and ran over him. He suffered multiple injuries and the trauma was fatal, leaving no opportunity for medical intervention.

Authorities at the scene coordinated with the on-duty physician and police officers to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. The body was carefully examined to rule out any suspicious circumstances. After the investigation, the victim’s family accepted no foul play and consented to the release of the body.

The rescue team subsequently handed over the deceased to the family, who will proceed with funeral, with authorities not taking any further steps and closing the investigation.
