I wonder if there is a mistranslation here because New South Wales is in Australia?

It says he ran a cleaning company there and hailed from Gillingham in Kent, which is England.

He could, of course, have been a Brit working in Australia.

RIP, to the man, way too young to pass away.

Thanks for your explanation, I must admit I was a little confused when I read "New South Wales" which is in Australia.

Koh Pha Ngan’s Full Moon Party’s darker side was also exposed last August when a grisly murder rocked the island. Spanish actor’s son Daniel Sancho Bronchalo allegedly killed and dismembered his lover during the event.

I don't see how this has anything to do with the full moon parties.  He wasn't killed at a full moon party.  So, how is it connected?

I spent most of my 20s in Thailand.

Wouldn't change a minute of it and never regretted that decision.

In fact, I feel sad for the auld bufties that missed all the fun.

Hey young people!

Im a Coffin Dodger and I went to bed early on the full moon.

Boring but I am still alive today.

Carry on and stay alive.

Being alive is the #1 most important thing in Life.

At least no one is using the word "tragic" in the article.

Just another nothingburger of a deleted tourist that probably didn't need to be.

What age did you moved to Thailand?

Take risks and chances and have fun whilst you can.

No regrets

True.

We read about people like you washing up on shore occasionally.

The younger ones who take risks, like the ex-military guy who decided to go for a midnight swim after drinking with friends at Hermosa Beach (if you've ever been there they have a famous jazz club and it's a well established "beach trash" hangout for alcoholics, so it checks out.  Anyway the dude was last spotted leaving a liquor store near the beach and heading down to the water for a swim.

He did it all the time.

Never recovered the body.

If you were a shark, who would you rather eat, some juicy young person or some old pickled codger. 😂

Not if you don't do anything and have no fun.

Ahhh.  I see your point.

You mistakingly believe "having fun" is more important than "staying alive".

You really should talk to ChatGPT before you drink and post to save embarrassment to yourself, Sir or Madam. 🙄

That type of thinking can be described as reckless hedonism or fatalistic thrill-seeking.

It's the mindset where the pursuit of pleasure or excitement overrides concerns about safety, despite potential dire consequences like death.

Psychologically, it can also be tied to concepts like risk-taking behavior, impulsivity, or self-destructive tendencies, depending on the context or underlying motivations.

I would have thought that at 37 he would be a bit old for a full moon drug party. He should have matured by now and grown out of that.

I am 62 but still go to discos and clubs and noisy bars, especially when on a mini break in Bangkok or Siem Reap.

Admittedly, I have never bothered really with substances, other than alcohol.

He was found dead at 6.30am the morning after attending the full moon party... I can see how the connection can be made.

Drugs and booze make females horny and have sex with men like me that they normally wouldn’t talk to if they had not had drugs and booze.

I would have had a sad life without drugs and booze.

Is the Full Moon Party where one can score loose Western chicks?

Not at all familiar with the party scene in TH.

Western but not loose. I think a lot of the hatred for these party goers is from guys who worked in a factory in Bolton when they were in their 20s/30s/40s and now too old to take part

I was actually talking about the article mentioning the spanish chef who murdered his boyfriend. That has no connection to full moon parties at all, apart from it was on koh pha ngan but somehow they was trying to link it to the parties.  Nonsense.
