I guess he was still young at heart right up to the very end.  RIP

Well he won't grow old now. Some people turn their brains off when they land in Thailand.

  • So much for the publication to follow 'International protocols'.

  • I wonder if there is a mistranslation here because New South Wales is in Australia?   It says he ran a cleaning company there and hailed from Gillingham in Kent, which is England.

  • I would have thought that at 37 he would be a bit old for a full moon drug party. He should have matured by now and grown out of that.

The expression that we use is 'they leave their brains on the planes'.

or 'off goes the head and on goes the pumpkin'

Sad way to end the party, but incidents like these happens at raves all the time.

Rest in peace.

Full Moon Party last night.

If he attended - a sad way to end.

Sad? Maybe. I assume he got a joyful last day of his life. No pain, no suffer, just passed out and away.

I wish my last day would be as peaceful and easy.

A full moon party says it all,he went with a bang in thailand

Could be a factor.  You can die of alcohol poisoning a little while after you finish drinking.

Could be cheap alcohol as happened a few weeks ago in Lao was it?

Or a cocktail of cheap drugs and cheap alcohol, will we ever know the truth?

Very sad, a good venue to stay clear of.

I'd be very surprised to see any updates on this death.

good job, guessing  you are about 80, I will be 78 on my next birthday

Damned drugs again.  Wouldnt be surprised if Lao Khao type liquor was a factor.

And i bet the natives had never seen a white man before.

It's time the whole drug fuelled nonsense was banned.

The Daily Mirror article that is quoted, identifies him as a British citizen, originally from Gillingham in Kent, who was running a cleaning business in New South Wales (Australia).

A Brit carrying an Aus driver licence.

Because he was a British tourist.

At least no one is using the word "tragic" in the article.

Just another nothingburger of a deleted tourist that probably didn't need to be.

How would anyone know he took money out of the ATM to give to the guy giving him a ride home?

It was reported that he was observed doing so.

Last time everyone else checked, Britons were allowed into Australia.

Why?  He's dead.

Take a thousand people (idiots), add unlimited booze and drugs, and well....hardly unexpected.

Only one dead from that crazy party. That´s good news.

Not for him and his family!

True that... toss the body in the ocean and let the fishes sort it.

Drug and alcohol addiction and other related recklessness don't favor any age group, but yes I agree. If you can get it out of your system in your 20s and survive you're ahead of the game.

Another tragic victim of the "party till you drop" mindset. Makes me sad every time I see people doing this to themselves with the illusion that it's actually enjoyable. After the first few drinks it's no longer "partying", it's self destruction.
