Here's what happens when the world's richest man buys the presidency

Let me guess.  You actually believe all that?

It  wasn't about electing a "female" leader. It was about electing a competent leader. A leader who understands that thel issues aren't all about her. And that person has to be electable.  People can spot a phony a mile away.

Hillary?  An excellent example. Condescending in the extreme.  People hated her.  Or, enough people hated her that she had no chance. She was a hypocrite.  For example, in the morning she'd give a speech about being "stronger together."  Something like that. In the afternoon, she'd be on Wall Street somewhere getting paid big money to address an audience about how to screw over the public and enrich the 1%. Maybe she thought no one would notice?

As for Kamala?  The woman was not allowed to speak to the press unless it was on their terms and under close adult supervision.  Hardly presidential material.  If she can't handle a press conference, how can she be expected to handle being the President of the United States?

Electing a "competent leader". Ahem....

Do your homework on election:

Republicans spent 3.5 billion

Democrats spent a staggering 4.5 billion - ONE BILLION more!

The working class elected Trump because they are sick of Woke, liberal failed policies. Simple as that!

Yet another one, this is getting tedious....I did not write the opinion piece. if you have an issue email the author.

Trump didn't have anywhere near a billion dollars for his campaign. If you're going to make stuff up at least make it plausible.

Another member clarified he only received $75 million from the oil industry. However it does demonstrate the underlying corruption with candidate election funding with such blatant demands from a candidate

LOL, you think Trump is competent? You actually believe that?

Every appointment he makes for his next administration will be made on one attribute alone - absolute loyalty. Competence for the post will be irrelevant. Appointing an anti-vaxxer and anti-fluoride campaigner as the next health czar is competent?

A businessman with multiple bankruptcies and brand failures is competent? A guy who held maskless rallies during COVID is competent?

Congratulations, funniest post on this thread.

If you say so.  Some of us understand....

Not sure how old you are, but you can go back hundreds of years now for illegal immigration. Again, I ask you, Why? Why in over hundreds of years has it been allowed to continue. There was a program back in late 60's or 70's that allowed seasonal workers to travel back and forth for work. Mostly from Mexico, Caribbean and South America. Worked well for both. In the 1800's it was African slaves, later Mexicans. Is illegal immigration wrong? It is only wrong if one is trying to stop it, and it continues. Allowing it to continue makes it not illegal, in my opinion.

There still are programs that allow for migrant workers and these workers are legal workers, they enter the USA with a work visa mostly the H1B

If there is a law and you're not following the law then it's illegal, that its!

The Thai police do nothing about under age (no license)  kids driving motorcycles, so according to you that makes it legal?

When a mediocre White man is failing he always depends on the Dadburn Gum'mint to bail him out.

You see, giving money to poor people makes them lazy.

Giving money to Rich People and they build luxury EV cars for dumb people who think they "need" a luxury car instead of a Corolla.

See the difference? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Obama Administration will lend Tesla Motors $465 million 🤑

BUT GO AHEAD AND STOP PAYING THE GUM'MINT CLERKS SO THEY CAN'T AFFORD XMAS PRESENTS YOU <deleted> SCROOGE 😧

IMO you are missing the point.

If you had nobody but legal migrant workers picking crops in America, cost of food in supermarkets would skyrocket.

It's about money, American farmers prefer illegal workers. They are paid less, and have no award protections.

As an Arkansas farmer said, quit eating if you want to deport every illegal immigrant.

Please let us know where you learned this priceless tidbit?  Was it from Miss Information?

The SS trust fund is invested in Treasury bonds.  It has not been used to cover any government expenditures other than SS obligations.

Not only is Trump competent, he has set up the entire globalist criminal syndicate in a trap from which there is no escape. He didn't do it on his own of course. But he has played his role to perfection.

2025-2026 is going to be the period when everyone is finally going to understand how much they have been deceived and manipulated over their entire lives. In the end, there is going to be an outpouring of gratitude to Trump for his help in defeating the abject evil that has plagued us for decades.

I wonder how you'll feel once you realize the businessman with multiple bankruptcies and brand failures saved your ass from tyranny and enslavement by those who consider us all to be lower than vermin.

Me, loser of what, I lose nothing because I am not American, I just post on things I have witnessed......🤗

Including interviews with red ball-cap voters, of which many were hilarious...........:clap2:

Trumps performances were mainly hilarious, of course from an outsider's point of view, but it could be deemed normal to you Americans...🤗

I did not call you a loser.  Guess you are not familiar with the great word salad maker of America.  If you do not know who she is then you have not seen and witnessed enough to make credible comments on American politics.

For the majority it’s a lifestyle choice.

Homelessness is a worldwide phenomenon.  Here is what's happening in the U.S.

Let's see what the foreigner who likes to make snide remarks about U.S. politics has to say about this.

Whats with the extreme age of U.S Presidents these days ? ( both JB & DT @80 give or take )

JFK was in his 40s

LBJ ( who seemed ancient when he appeared ) was in his 50s

Does the U.S. of A. really not have people in their 40's or 50's suitable for the position ?

Interesting question.  Could it be they are nearing the end of their useful lives and Americans want to take advantage of them before they are gone?  Problem is that some don't even last for four years.

It does get repaid - via maturing bonds financed by current or saved output. National budgets are not the same as household budgets. And the decision to let people sleep in the streets is a political one in the US.

In the real world if a debt gets bigger, it's not being repaid.

However carry on in your little bubble by all means.

Keep on thinking that. Trump will soon be coming out with MAGA baseball caps made out of aluminium foil - a snip at $40 - just for the likes of you.

I'd agree people may understand how they have been deceived by a cabal of billionaires whose only interest is in maintaining their current status of next to no taxation. Then again, maybe not.

As far as saving my ass goes, I do that for myself.

People in their 40s or 50s probably want to feed at the taxpayer trough for many more years. Losing ( or even winning ) the presidency would likely end a future in politics, IMO.

I'm guessing, but JFK probably came from a time when people became statesmen and were more than swamp creatures warming a seat for a lifetime. He certainly warmed hearts all over the world with his vision of a better world, unlike those that came after.

I'm not missing the point.  The issue (point) is that the immigration system in the USA is broke and needs to be revised. I understand completely well you need migrant workers for the work US citizens dont want to do.  The US needs to revamp the system make it quicker/easier to bring in both skilled an unskilled labor and allow a diffident minimum wage for migrant visa holders.

If you just let anyone in without checks then you get criminals in the mix. Here is what happened in Florida during the last two hurricanes.

Over the last three weeks, deputies patrolled the area where more than 500,000 residents live. An evacuation order had asked residents to leave for their safety. As they left Gualtieri said he assured the community his looting patrols deputies would prevent "those who wanted to wreak further havoc" in the Pinellas coast.  As of Monday, 63 suspects have been arrested on 93 different charges.

At least 41 were illegal immigrants arrested for allegedly looting and scamming victims, according to the sheriff.

Gualtieri said the illegal immigrants who are from Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Honduras, Venezuela and other countries, were in Pinellas County "to take others property."

41 is not a huge number compared to the millions allegedly in America. It's a fairly tenuous point. As far as criminality goes, there is probably more among Americans.

Are looters shot on the spot in America? I am surprised in a trigger-happy country, that is not happening.

I assume the use of the adjective diffident with respect to minimum wages is a typo, albeit a quite amusing one.

Where is your source of truth? The member is correct

The Social Security trust funds are invested entirely in U.S. Treasury securities. Like the Treasury bills, notes, and bonds purchased by private investors around the world, the Treasury securities that the trust funds hold are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government

The issue wasn’t about what the trust fund are  invested in.

Forty-one is 2/3's of the 63 arrested.  That's 41 more criminals we don't need or maybe you are okay with inviting more in to infiltrate your neighborhood.
