A motorbike sidecar driver lost his life after his vehicle overturned and fell into a pond in Nong Sano Subdistrict, Nang Rong District, Buriram Province.

The Siam Rescue Unit received a report from Mr. Kriangsak Phaewpholsong, the village head, at around 20:00 on December 15, about a motorbike that had plunged into a pond. It was suspected that the driver might have drowned.

Rescue teams and divers quickly arrived at the scene, which was a pond approximately 10 x 20 metres in size and 3 metres deep. After a search, the body of the victim was discovered submerged and pinned under the overturned motorbike sidecar.

The Siam Rescue Unit, along with Nang Rong Police investigators and a physician from Nang Rong Hospital, conducted an on-site examination of the body. It was determined that the victim had drowned due to being trapped beneath the vehicle. The family did not raise any concerns regarding the crash or the cause of death.

After the rescue unit retrieved the body from the water, they transported it back to the victim’s home, providing a casket to the family to facilitate funeral arrangements.

Authorities have closed the case, considering it as accidental.
