Leopard Spotted Lounging on Road in Thai National Park

In a breathtaking encounter, a leopard was spotted calmly sitting on a road in Thailand's Kaeng Krachan National Park, stunning tourists with its serene presence. The rare sighting occurred on December 19th around 6:50 am, near the Ban Krang camp, and was captured by visitor Kritsiphong Ngamjing.

 

Mongkol Chaiphakdee, head of the park in Phetchaburi province, highlighted this moment as evidence of the park's rich biodiversity, hosting a plethora of rare wildlife species. The leopard displayed an unusual comfort around humans, opting to lounge peacefully, seemingly unfazed by onlookers.

 

 

This unexpected encounter underscores the health of the park’s thriving ecosystem, making it an exhilarating experience for wildlife enthusiasts. Visitors are urged to maintain a respectful distance to ensure safety for themselves and the animals.

 

Mongkol reiterated the importance of responsible tourism and cooperation in preserving this crucial wildlife sanctuary. As Thailand's largest national park, Kaeng Krachan stands as a beacon for biodiversity, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It offers a habitat for diverse wildlife, emphasising the global significance of conservation efforts.

Recently there have been a lot more sightings of rare animals there,tigers and a Malayan  Tapir.

Looks like the park wardens are doing a good job!

They kill wild animals daily. Even elephants are not safe from Thais.

Shot on a game ranch in Argentina, various species are reared specifically for hunting, so has no effect on conservation whatsoever.

Yes fat boy ate the leopard.

 

Dirty Harry didn’t eat the buffalo.

 

Hunting for fun as Harry was doing is a different mentality than hunting for food.

You wouldn’t understand.

Thais don’t hunt for fun. 
Which is part of the reason that it is so biodiverse.

Critters running around everywhere.

 

Harry is a joke. Has been played like a fiddle. 
A bit like his Uncle Andy. I would love to hear what a certain reigning monarch who I do respect must think of how pathetically he was brought down. It certainly wouldn’t happen to him. 
And of course there is Fergie the toe sucker and Camilla the tampon.

   Some animals need to be culled , instead or wardens culling the animals , the parks charge a large amount of money for people to carry out the culling , that way the park earns money to help other animals
