Why some of us did not get COVID symptoms …even though we were exposed.
What is apparent in all this Covid outbreak is that it was a global overreaction to a relatively MINOR epidemic. Yes, it affected the old, those already sick, those on medication with weakened immune systems, but for the unbelievable costs involved and a global shutdown, was it worth all that?......... I don't think many governments, on hindsight, think it was. Many countries will NOT be so quick to jump on the bandwagon in shutting down their economies in the event of another pandemic. -

Dwindling Trust in Police: Nearly Half of Britons Fear Inaction on Crime
Regarding the UK police force. Years ago it was made up with many ex servicemen. Men who were trained to deal with and get stuck in to sort things out. Now it seems it comprises of ex college and university students that do not have the backbone to enforce the law. From the reports I have seen on the news, they spend time discussing why the offender should not do what he or she is doing. Following instruction from the top to not offend anyone. What confidence does it give the public when dealing with a heavily tattooed, manbunned and bearded copper? -

Twice-per-second Bleeping Bird: What's it good for?
Prefer not to share any eggs with any critters running about. Hard enough to keep the squirrels and bird from munching in the garden. Whole reason for the greenhouse, protect my precious figs. -

Revenue Department boss calls on tax residents in Thailand to file 2024 returns by March 31
Yes, but the right construct would be to gift only non-assessable funds to her Thai account. Otherwise, you could logically claim that the 2 million of current year income remitted directly to a car dealership account to purchase a vehicle is not taxable as remitted income as it technically never went into your account.- 1
