A 37-year-old man from Chaiyaphum lost his life after his motorcycle veered off the road and crashed into a utility pole on the parallel road of Motorway Route 7, Section 5, near Ban Rong Heep in Takhiantia Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province.

The incident occurred at around 02:30 on January 8. Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Centre and officers from Bang Lamung Police Station were alerted and rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found a white Honda Scoopy motorbike, registration number from Chonburi, lying on its side by the roadside with minor damage. Nearby, the body of Mr Pornsak Thindin, 37, was discovered face down between the road and the footpath. He was critically injured and rescue workers performed CPR in an attempt to save his life, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

A passerby who discovered the scene reported that they did not witness the crash itself. They noticed the victim lying motionless on the roadside while driving past. Upon stopping to check, they received no response from the man and observed skid marks and the fallen motorcycle nearby. The witness then contacted emergency services.

Police Sub-Inspector Sarasuphan Odtonsrinan of Bang Lamung Police Station documented the scene and stated that CCTV footage would be reviewed to determine the exact cause of the crash.

It looks like we mean 02.30 here. Been a lot of such incidents of late. I think this is a bit of road I use quite often... ever since a U-Turn on Hwy 36 was closed off. Head down towards Bangkok to the next underpass to come back... then pass the toll booths where the coachload of Russians careered into an SUV. You can mark most junctions, U turns and corners etc with recent accidents these days!
