What are western countries doing to contribute to climate change? Why arent the main polluting countries concerned about climate change?

As far as I know the oldest handwritten document is less than 5000 years old. And as far as I know that wasn't about the weather.

These numbers are very easy to prove with a 15 minute research project, they are based upon numerous very deep ice core samples and are proven with a significant degree of scientific knowledge. They are simply not debatable. 

 

Of course one can always engage in denial but denial without science is just simply partisan nonsense.

Then wonder why your houses like yours on the same mountain side slid down the mountain when it rained, carried down in mud slides.

I am sure some numbers can be "calculated" from fossils and all those things. But how accurately? 

It seems now the climate activists like to tell us that not even 2 degrees temperature change over 100 years make a catastrophic difference. Do we really know if 10,000 years ago 100,000 years ago or it was a degree or two warmer or cooler than now?

Yes, it is a lot hotter here in Pennsylvania than it was about 10-15,000 years ago, when this part of the state was covered by an iceberg.   

I'm glad global warming melted the ice.   And New York state and Canada should be glad too!

there seems to be an implication that the fires are man-made or man started - this ovelooks the fact that conditions have to be ideal for this to happen - this is brought about by MMCC. Furthermore any scientrtist will say that citing one incident as proof either way is not scientific - the entire incident needs to be taken in a world context - the OP is the hoax.

Yes. Very accurate. Ice cores are remarkably faithful recorders of past climate, providing multiply duplicated reconstructions with small and quantifiable uncertainties. Ice core reconstructions in general do not rely on assumed quantitative time-invariance of empirical calibrations between climate and sedimentary characteristics, but instead rely on assuming little more than the constancy of physical law over time. The history of some of the discoveries that allow these ice-core climatic reconstructions is instructive for students, citizens and policymakers.

After doing a little research I see your point, especially after Kazakhstan is reporting "incredible progress" by allowing water to flow again into the Aral Sea.  Supposedly, desertification has stopped and is being slowly reversed.  Good news, if true.

Now it seems Russia's dams on the Volga are creating similar problems with the Caspian Sea.  However, I resent you labeling me a simpleton.  Twenty years ago, I joined Thai Visa to learn new things, not to be ridiculed.

Do you seriously think you are th only person to think of that????? It is precisely by studt=ying these cycles that scientists become aware of the the differences and causes in each hot/cold variation - this has been forecast since the 19thC

in short  - yes!   Imagine a perfect fulcrum in perfect balance - on either end is an identical mass of 1000 tons of rice - because the balance they both hang there - then move one grain of rice from one side to the other - How much is the difference in weight ? = x2 grains of rice and the balance is immediately changes and one side drops down.

I've seen images of simple little devices found around raging forest fires which are designed to start them.

They consist of 2 or 3 'twig' like branches of wood from trees stuck into the ground and have a magnifying glass held in place on them - they hold it in place perfectly to focus the sunlight when it comes the next day.

These are found in many places where wildfires 'break out'. Some of them fail and they get found but I can not find the images on the internet anywhere these days - they have been 100% scrubbed from existence. Now I guess it's not a great idea to provide instructions to would be arsonists but this is the level they are operating at - for many many years.
