An incident occurred in Roi Et Province on the night of January 14, when a vehicle veered off the road, leaving two men dead. The crash on the Kalasin-Mukdahan four-lane highway near Ban Phu Khao Thong in Kham Phuang Subdistrict, Pho Chai District.

At approximately 19:30, rescue teams from the Asok Pho Chai Unit were alerted to the incident and coordinated with the Kham Phuang Subdistrict Municipality emergency services and on-duty doctors from Pho Chai Hospital.

Upon arrival, rescuers discovered the mangled wreckage of a vehicle at the bottom of a deep roadside ravine. One man, aged 73, was found unconscious with no pulse. He suffered a severe head injury. Rescue workers performed CPR at the scene before transporting him via an ambulance to Pho Chai Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

Another victim, a 47-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His left thigh was fractured, and he had sustained significant injuries to his head and face.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Pho Chai Police. Authorities are working to determine what led to the vehicle losing control, as no other vehicle were at the scene, there was no dash-cam, no survivors, no witnesses or CCTV.
