How do you know that? Do you know me? The only thing you know, is what you read here. If you are basing your opinion on that, then I can only feel sorry for you. Seems like you have a hard time doing something professional.

Depends where you are.

Never smell dope where I live and work.

Bangkok eastern suburbs.

Sorry. but these disco-pimped, sound pumping taxi vans are geared for attracting the more extrovert, drunk and/or idiotic type !

I'm sure glad it does.

I don't want them anywhere near where I live.

Same for phuket.

I saw Pattaya once in the afternoon, didn't want to see it at night. Drove on.

You're saying that with expectations that other people might agree with you. You've got this distorted view of Pattaya. You think it's all about bars and nothing else. There is no better place to live.

Thailand attracts approximately 35 million tourists a year. Why would anyone be surprised that there might be some crazy ones among them?

You're getting the wrong impression due to a few reports of what "Netizens" are saying, whoever they might be, and they're drawing attention to a few cases - a drop in the bucket.

Ok, so you are saying that the picture is manipulated, because that´s what I looked at to post my comment.

Totally agree.  A handful of cases, way over-publicized.  As you said, 35 million tourists, the vast majority acting normally.  No different than tourists places all over the world attracting  very large numbers.  Much ado about nothing.

And, how he could have come up with that baffling interpretation is beyond me.

Living here 12 years, it seems to get worse year after year.  It amazes me how someone would go to a foreign ( country OTHER than theirs ) and act like a total arse!!!  I vote to deport him and ban 5 years - although it happened IN Pattaya ...... Hummmm

it doesn't get worse year after year, it just gets more visibility as lurking netizens film ad post every indiscretion.

nightlife used to be far more edgy
