So why didn't they tweet that the child killer was guilty before the trial?

He was engaged in murder after all.

Starmer was right, the rioters were a gang of thugs. Starmer was also very right not to prejudice the trial of the heinous killer.

  • Badenoch is 100% right.   Yvette Cooper labelled the protesters criminals before they even had a trial. In fact before some were even arrested.    https://freespeechunion.org/fsu-w

And neither should be labelled as guilty by the government until found so in a court of law.

In this case, one was, one wasn't.

Classic Labour you might say.

Did the Government label them ‘guilty’?

For the reasons explained to you above.

Isn't there a huge difference in making the claim that a large group or groups are behaving in a criminal manner....where no one individual is identified......compared to claiming an individual is guilty of a crime.....?

Didn't say acting in a criminal manner.

Called them criminals.

Some were not guilty of a crime and were not even arrested.

Didn't mention the child slayer was "acting in a murderous manner either" funnily enough. No No No, we couldn't speak about that.

No, they were found guilty of the crimes they were arrested for and charged for.

Officer: ‘I’m dressing you for he crimes of rotting, looting and arson’

Chap being arrested: ‘You can’t, I haven’t been convicted of those crimes’.

Witness: ‘I saw the chap being arrested engage in rioting, looting, and arson’.

Chap under arrest: ‘No you didn’t I haven’t been convicted of any of those crimes’.

Starmer got it right, swiftly and decisively stamping out the coordinated race riots breaking out across the nation.

Of course those who sympathize with such criminal behaviour might disagree, but not the wider public.

Badenoch needs to find another dead horse to flog:

Yvette Cooper: "He's a criminal. I'll go on X and tell everyone he's a criminal before he actually goes to trial".

"Now everyone shut up about the child slayer. We don't want to prejudice the trial".

Sounds legit. 😄

No 2 tier justice there...

Or those who think someone who slaughtered 3 young girls with a knife has more right to a fair trial than someone who shouted at a police dog.

Starmer was ought really thank Badenoch for again bringing attention to two resounding successes of justice during the first months of this new Government.

Coordinated race riots across the nation swiftly and decisively stamped out and criminal racist rioters, looters and arsonists convicted almost with online provocateurs of these crimes.

A vile heinous killer brought to justice, found guilty in a fair and safe trial, now behind bars for 52 years, hopefully to die there.

Badenoch is right to keep these successes in the public mind.

More please.

Yes Jonny you did.

Perhaps because you are indeed ‘done’.

You seem to think the presumption of innocence is something that existed outside the justice system.

It does not.

The Government responded firmly and swiftly to coordinated race riots across the country.

Law abiding people appreciate such swift action in resorting public order.

They are not so swift if Muslims are involved.

In contrast, Starmer tried to bury information about the child slayer under the guise of providing a fair trial.

2 Tier Britain under Starmer. Shameful.

Ah, the old far right “2 Tier Britain” slur.

I actually agree that double standards are in play here.

Environment campaigners are jailed for up to 5 years for planning (not committing) to cause disruption on a motorway.

Rich landowners driving tractors worth £100k+ bring chaos to London by blocking Whitehall and the surrounding area yet are given a free pass.

Yup. That’s 2 tier Britain in my book!

I guess you would Starmer to make statements that might very well put the trial of this heinous killer at risk of collapsing?

You haven't answered the very relevant point made by @Petemcc64, that with the overwhelming evidence  against the children's killer, it would be virtually impossible to put his trial at risk of collapsing.

Could you elucidate on what Laws were broken by the Farmers, who went through the due process for such events, by registering it with the Police ?

Yet more self stroked grievance.

Is ‘virtually impossible’ a risk you would be happy with?

Or do you share my view that it was entirely correct to avoid even the slightest possibility of of a mistrial, especially when there was absolutely no reason to provide any statements that could give rise to that happening?

2 tier timeframes. 2 tier justice.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

A reminder that you have changed tack on that case, your previous self stroked grievance being your assertion that the verdict would be handed down on the same day as Trump’s inauguration.

That didn’t happen so you dream up your next reason to feel aggrieved.

Clearly not a risk that was considered when making statements before the arrest and trials of protesters, rioters(?) or social media posters.

The protesters, rioters(?) or social media posters were arrested, tried and sentenced quickly and efficiently, exactly in line with the Home Office and Starmer's announcements before their arrest.

Ricky Jones (Labour councillor) was caught on video making his statements demanding that throats should be cut. It will be over a year before his case will even come to trial.

They can appeal if they feel they have been denied justice.

Imagine now if the Heinous killer did the same, this forum would light up with demands for Starmer to be held accountable.

There is also another important point, which of course is being ignored by people who don’t like the fact the race rioters faced swift and stiff justice.

The race riots were coordinated and breaking out across the nation, the Government’s messaging was very clear, join the riots and you will face justice. This was absolutely the right message to send, and it worked.
Within days of rioters being convicted the riots stopped.

Again, thank you to Badenoch for reminding the public of two excellent law and order results  for the Government.

The rioters were almost all tried in magistrates courts.

Ricky Jones (Labour Councillor) is being tried in front of a full jury, the timing of which is determined by the court availability.

Here’s an example of the trial of one of those involved in provoking the race riots taking time to be processed.

So no not all were tried quickly.

Could the rioters not have used the "prejudicing their case" gambit at their trials?

They could try.

It seems none have.

Perhaps Badenoch is manufacturing outrage.
