Challenging eviction from unit

What is so hard to even get from the very basic fact that you rent month to month, you have no right to stay, what a joke to even think this. Move along already or pay more.

Have you even offered to stay while paying the new rate instead? If not, you are not even legally incorrect but also morally, to complain or ask about it here. Or are you indeed noisy and it is not about what you state?

Left or right you have no rights on a monthly except for maybe that month, even then they could kick you out and refund, if they want to, or else it's civil court for you on that end too.

Being part of the dusted living furniture does not grant rights either unless you were local on some land that nobody else claimed ownership over anymore since decade(s) up.

Because I'm the oldest tenant I'm still on a really good rate. By booting me out they can get another 2000b in their pocket every month

When/if you go to court the judge may ask you to pay "fair market value" to Thai owner for many years...

Plus; Penalties for tricking the owner.

Good luck!

Not sure how to go about getting the right legal help. Should i start by trying to find a good Chiang Mai lawyer (suggestions welcome), or is there a government agency that helps people with disputes, like the office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB)?

Stock up on food and water, then barricade any doors and windows that may be breached.

If nothing else, you will make it onto the tv

''Karen retiree barricaded himself into a room after refusing to pay more or leave this month to month rented room'' I should tell gogo bars the same, I always paid less fro drinks and did month to month too.

Fair point. I've been in the same place now for more than 10 years so it really does feel like my home.

Feels like it, it is not. Many short time girls I sometimes have also feel like family lol.
