Indeed, we had the Swiss fighting the Thai driver, the woman doctor kicker and the other one who bashed the elderly Thai woman in the supermarket and then strangled her when she objected.

And these are just the incidents reported on this forum recently.

Personally I have never been fond of them and would welcome visa restrictions on the Swiss until they learn how to behave.

There was a Swiss guy in the village where I lived who wanted to fight the world every time he got a sniff of the barmaid's apron. Everyone tried to give him a wide birth. Also, in the condo where I once stayed, There was a Swiss man, wife and young daughter. All three of them were bolshy verging on crazy. The first guy I mentioned ended up killing two elderly locals in a traffic accident. I'm never surprised therefore, when I read on here about a demented Swissy.

Just time to get rid of this vermin of a man.

Yes.

The Swiss guy should be exported to N. Korea.

Nobody here has time or money to waste on such an unreasonable tourist of quality, such as he.

Sometimes, some Farang do not realize that we are guests in this country.

So, stop making waves.

Statistically my experience with Swiss men is that THEY HAVE ALL had anger issues. My neighbor in Hua Hin years ago wielded a knife and gun at neighbors and then used both! Friggin nut jobs

Does douchebag translate to Thai and German (or whatever his language is)?

Duschbeutel. Not directly I think. Rather meaningless.

But Schlappschwanz would certainly do the job: = flaccid penis.

Please let it be known what nationalities are acceptable to you.

So far: Swiss, British, and American are unacceptable.

I'd like to hear who passes muster.

I am Swiss and my opinion is this. These crazy Swiss stories are always about Swiss expats, who residing for years in Thailand. And all of these idiots think they are somehow important and have such an ego, that they think, they can do what they want.

You never read incidents like this from Swiss tourists. Only from Swiss expats.

Alright then, I am going back to my Fondue and enjoy Ganja, inhaling with the help of an alphorn😃

They are very arrogant and look down on the rest of the society. Some superior race mentality. I'm sure the Swiss guy wants the whole beach for him only.

You will have no worries from the likes of me.

I am always respectful of others' feelings and sensiblities.

And, it has never taken a kick to the teeth to keep me on track, and always respectful.

However, I say....More Power To You!!!!!!

When you find some guy who behaves like this Swiss guy is said to have behaved.

Sir,

I have excellent Swiss friends, highly educated, pleasant, well-mannered as I like to consider myself to be to people.

An idiot is an idiot, regardless of nationality.

Completely agree, way too much bashing of citizens of an individual country for the actions of a few idiots.

The altercation seemed to be at the popular bangsaphan cuisine home restaurant  where many expats gathered at night for a meal. The Swiss guy is just bullying the others as many there are ex teachers and not some ex-mafia enforcers. Soon you may read about some guy’s house being burnt down or dogs poisoned if somebody decide to hit back .

I have been to bangsaphan and vicinity a few times and found the expats there rather mild and easy going. None of the in your face attitude you get in phuket or pattaya. The area is generally a close knit elderly expat community so I cannot understand why this relatively young Swiss guy would want to spend his life there in the sticks.

What am I looking at here?

Pretty sure that's a still (probably from a CCTV video) taken at or around the time of the altercation described in the OP.

Unless I miss my guess, the Irish couple would be sitting at the table at the very top of the image and a member of the restaurant staff seems to be running towards the table, presumably to intervene (since that is what the article states that they did).

I'm going to assume that he doesn't want to and doesn't care about how anyone else is affected by it.

I am Swiss and embarrassed of their behaviour ! Visa Restrictions for the Swiss ? Are you joking ? What about the Brits, Aussies, Russians and more in daily negative news ?
