It is sad. What we need is more mass migration to drive wagers down and housing costs up.

The immigrants being paid low wages are driving up housing costs?!

It hasn't got a thing to do with "Democracy."  To quote James Carville, "It's The Economy Stupid."
And as such, it's about predatory capitalism which tends to be a feature in Western nations which claim they are "democracies," although those so-called democracies tend to care more about illegal immigrants and the welfare of corporations then their own citizens.  It has ZERO to do with whether a country has a democracy or any other form of government.

Does increasing the number of people that require housing drive up the cost of housing?

Do you think they just  sleep in the fields where they do all the backbreaking work American leftists refuse to do?

Meanwhile, in communist, authoritarian China governed by a dictator, the citizens are enjoying universal health care, free schooling, cheap and affordable housing, public transportation and groceries and increasing life expectancy. So evil…

That’s why they are a threat to global (western) security.

However, 80% of the Chinese haters here on AN will insist that most Chinese live in hovels, they ae mostly uneducated morons, they don't have access to modern amenities, all the grocery stores are empty of goods, and the Chinese all pee and poop in the streets.
Most Western expats do what their home-country governments tell them to do:  Hate Chinese. In fact, hate all non-Western countries who challenge the West's dominance. So they believe some of the most ridiculous nonsense believable about the countries whom their governments tell them to hate - like China.

   Really ?

Are you sure about that .

Which A.N posters insist that all Chinese pee and poop in the street and that ALL the chinese shops are empty ?

Tax deductions are not ‘welfare’.

Trump is cutting welfare, he’s not cutting tax deductions.

You call tax deductions “federal expenditures”,  and seem to think wrong for companies to take advantage of them, but it’s great when you take them.

I saw a video of a truck backing into a pedestrian there, crushing him. Some other folk see it and continue walking like nothing happened. Nobody needed to tell me the problem with China, just found it on the internet

We are talking about the UK , the above 3 are not UK citizens

I agree with you to a large extent however, to try to answer your question,

The people "coining it" now in the UK are those who own businesses providing services to and having contracts with government departments. These could be children's services such as children's homes or SEND schools, consultancy services, hotels providing accommodation, construction services. This is a dramatic change from 40 years ago when this was not the case.

I haven't even mentioned Carillion yet but this is a perfect example of who is getting very wealthy in the UK as a result of lax government practice.

You said you took tax deductions, but I guess you were lying.

I corporations have to pay more taxes, will prices not go up?

Can you please provide a quote of me saying I take tax deductions?

We will then decide precisely who it is who is lying.

I’ll try again.

You’ve demonstrated you know how to use the quote function, so please provide a quote of me saying I take tax deductions.

We will then decide precisely who it is who is lying.

Or you could retract your statement and save us finding out.

The average American has $104,000 in debt.

To be clear..... that is the debt of the average household.

True. Not as bad as Australia, household debt $276,000.

If politicians want to prevent this, they should stop asking what young people can do for the state—and start asking what the state has done for them.

It's the western governments Ponzi property scheme that's the main problem.

Restrict new building, force up housing prices, then create a slave labour society working 24/7 in order to have a home.

Meanwhile China is producing 2 room fully fitted housing pods for $5000.

Easily shipped by container, ready to be hooked up to utils.

It's a bit rich (sic) of The Telegraph to criticize the rise of median prices for houses when they're bemoaning the end of double-digit price rises for property this year on their money page.

Affordable housing is probably the most crucial issue for the young now, and the problem can only be rectified by getting wages higher and housing costs lower.

So you don’t have any quote from me saying I take tax deductions.

We have at least confirmed who the liar is.

I told you I would go back and find it after you answer the question. If corporations have to pay more taxes, will prices go up?

It seems pretty easy to me.

If I can’t find where you claimed you took deductions, I’ll apologize.
