Two wild elephants in Prachin Buri province recently had a close call with vehicles on a public road. This incident has sparked concerns about the growing human-wildlife conflict in the area.

The elephants strolled out of the Khao Ang Rue Nai Wildlife Sanctuary and ended up near Ban Hua Sa School in Si Maha Phot district. Local villagers have noted that these elephants previously damaged crops and property in nearby farming areas.

Rangers from the Khao Ang Rue Nai Wildlife Sanctuary are closely monitoring the situation. They are actively trying to guide the elephants back to the sanctuary. Recent drone footage indicates that the elephants are still in the forest near Ban Hua Sa, highlighting the ongoing challenge of ensuring the safety of both the animals and the public.
