I've had good luck (no problems) with my implants that I had done at Dental Select.  Pattaya 3rd road, close to Pattaya Glang.

The Pattaya City Expats Club has the following on their Expat Recommended Health Providers web page:

Quote

Dr. Preecha Paijitrochana, DDS

Smile Time Dental Clinic

Jomtien

082-207-9691

Remarks: The Expat recommending commented ‘Everyone I send to him is delighted and never goes to another dentist.’ Great English. In Jomtien, but friends go out from other parts of Pattaya to see him. Close to the golden ‘monkey’ statue.

Thai good English 40 years experience.

Thank you all.

Went to this this. Didn't like, was Chinese fast talking sales man. Maybe good but not my taste.

Cash, no receipt. Can't keep appointment time. Walk in Chinese customers  went by me like I wasn't there.

I rather suffer untill back to States. Prices were same...

PS. Now I got it; The Brit must have sold the business to this Chinese man. I met briefly an old nice Thai lady speaking very good English. Must be wife, or widow, of the Brit Dr?

Please specify:

Is your implant loose or is it the abutment.

Thank you so much!

I figured same: The screw is loose. Crown has to be removed, screw tightened or replaced.

There was a problem;  Not enough bone to use larger screw without bone craft. I didn't want to do it. So I took a change and it didn't work, part of my own fault.

The manufacturer is an Italian company, well know in EU.

If you don't mind; What should I do?

Try to fix or pull it out and live without?

Money is not an issues. I'm scared of large complicated dental work. Many bad experiences since child.

Thanks!

Please specify:

Is the IMPLANT - BONE connection loose or the ABUTEMENT - IMPLANT connection?

Sometimes difficult to diagnose.

Both are partially shaped like a screw.

If the implant is loose, all you can do is extraction, if the Abutment is loose, it may be possible to tighten it.

Thank you very much for your trouble, Doc!

Too bad I didn't come to you... Didn't know you.

I hope it's just loose screw. But why it came loose is a mystery. I didn't bait anything hard.

The worse case it implant itself. I've very little bone there. No room to re-threat and use bigger one.

The OP asked for a quality dentist and not for a dental technician.

The job profile of a dental technician is basically the production of crowns, bridges and prosthesis with metal, plastic or ceramic,

Only a dentist, or better DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery), has by law the permission to examine, diagnose, advise or treat patients and perform surgery, filling therapy, endodontology, periodontology, prosthetics,

As two BMS clicked the “confused” emoji I`d like to clarify:

The guy who runs that place is German.

But he is not a dentist; he is a dental technician (for more detail see my post above).

He hires Thai dentists, who work for him at his place.

Well, last time I was at your place, treatment was by a Thai Dentist. So I guess you too use Thai Dentists. That is not a critic about quality. I just point out that you will not automatically be treated by Dr. Somjot himself.

I do not see a big difference to any other place, beside that your Receptionist is talking german. But I am looking forward to your answer, I have to crowns (or inlays) to fix soon.

Where did you have it done in the first place? They are the ones who need to fix it.
