Amazing, a President of the USA trying to talk, instead of sending B-52's.  And, folks still hating on him.

I guess you hypocrites do enjoy a war or two by us Americans.

They will criticise Trump whatever he does .

Not talking to Iran - Trumps ignoring the Iran issue

Talking to Iran - Trumps meeting with fascist dictators

Going to war with Iran - Trumps a war monger

Whatever he does, they will criticise him

There is definitely an internal power struggle in Iran between the Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian (who is a moderate and is actively seeking talks regarding Iran's nuclear program and the reestablishment of a JCPOA and the lifting of sanctions) and the theocratic hardliners led Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.  The fact is Iranians want a change which is why a moderate like Masoud Pezeshkian was elected over other candidates aligned with the theocracy.  The US would do itself a huge favor by driving a wedge between the Pezeshkian and the Khamenei factions and then supporting Pezeshkian and really push for talks and internal societal change.  If the US goes hard-core, implements more sanctions, and then works with Israel to, in the immortal words of neo-con John McCain..."Bomb Bomb Iran"... all that will accomplish is to create a regional hot war, suck in most of the Islamic Arab world into conflict, and blow the lid off of the Middle East - and more than likely take the global economy down the drain with it.  It would be a classic "own goal."  But?  That may be the point.  The US MIC only makes money hand-over-fist when there is global conflict and forever wars.  Color me pessimistic, but I've been around too long and have seen too much. My guess is that the latter course will prevail and the Middle East will be thrown into fires of hell right along with the global economy: Ordo ab Chao.  Order out of chaos.

I guess we'll find out for sure when the US sets Israel loose to do it again.  Coming soon I'm pretty sure.  The shipment of GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) munitions which the US is denying is a good indicator of what's to come.  Wait for the KC-135 Stratotankers filling the skies and you'll know its on the way. Then?  Guess we'll see.

Here are two easy responses.

1. "Moderate" is a term that is not appropriate, unless you are speaking in terms of a person whose personal worldview echoes the 15th century instead of the 11.

2. It will take less than 24 hours with minimal civilian damage to end Iran and they cant stop it.

Its time to drop the leaflets.

Supporting Iran over your own country though...typical. Maybe you arent an American after all.

What makes you think I’m supporting Iran over my country?I never said nore implied any such thing.what I do not support is Donald jhon trump the felon sexual assaulter and insurrectionist.you may start by asking yourself just why trump supported putin over our owne intelligence agencies or why he’s trying to kill the CIA and FBI.

What's the point of talking with a serial liar?

Peace, as oppose to young men dying for nothing.  Here is an idea, go to a school-high school or middle school, look at the kids having fun, playing, enjoying life,,,and then imagine them getting slaughtered in a stupid war.  That sir is what parents saw in the late 50's and early 60's...young men, having no idea that some old idiots could not talk and the ended up dead in Nam and other stupid wars.

Trump may be a liar, but that man does not like wars...OK!  Deal with it!

But do continue with your fantasy war games if it makes you happy.

No I would assume the southern Azeris unite with the Northern Azeris. Im not familiar with the Balochi situation, so Ill just assume a rump Iran with the same govt absent the IRG and the Mullahs.

“Negotiations with America do not solve any of our problems,” Khamenei said during a speech, as reported by the Iranian news agency Tasnim.

You were lucky to be offered talks after the previous attempts to assassinate Trump.

Unbelievable to see some posters here backing the head of the snakes statements. Iran a designated State Sponsor of Terrorism

Please quote facts to support your assertion:

1. Has Trump been convicted or charged with insurrection.

2. Show how Trump supported Putin over our own intelligence agencies.

3. Please show what Trump has done to show he is trying to kill the CIA/FBI

4. Do you think Trumps conviction will survive an appeal.

Or, of course, be branded a liar, again. I thought the verdict of the American people would reignite a spark of patriotism or love of country in you, but I guess not.

1 he got away with the big lie and insurrection that being said I have eyes ears and an uninflected brain I know what I saw furthermore I never said he was convicted for that treason.2 helinsky, did you forget?I certainly dident3 trump is going after all personal who investigated him for his treason,he’s actively trying to disband/buy out those personnel and shut those agencies down.4 he has a good chance of getting away with it because our bureaucracy is terrified and he has quite a few crooked judges in his pocket.it won’t change the facts.

Stop lying, if Trump was an insurrectionist he would have been charged with it, the so called felonies were book keeping errors. Any evidence of him being a racist? he's just the opposite.

Did you ever negotiate a deal with anybody? What is the minimum requirement to do that? You have to trust that the other party is negotiating in good faith. And you have to rely on them to do what they say they will do. A guy who says he will do A but then does B is unreliable and it does not make sense to talk to. It's a waste of time.

Trump is a serial liar. Whatever he says today is forgotten latest tomorrow.

He is unfit. But for whatever strange reason >70 million Americans voted for him. Amazing.

Of course not given from their perspective that “any of their problems” stem from their blood thirsty war mongering hate towards Israel and the West of which doesn’t represent most of Iran's population. If Iran's leaders would set aside their hatred and release their death grip on their citizens then the country could be a very prosperous welcoming nation, rationally seems like a much better option, religious zealots.
