Trump Declares No Urgency in Gaza Development Amid Controversial U.S. Takeover Plan

Former President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he is in "no rush" to develop Gaza, framing his vision as a long-term project that would bring stability to the Middle East. His remarks came after he proposed an American-led redevelopment of the war-torn region, a plan that has already sparked concerns among Arab leaders and even some of his Republican allies.

"Think of it as a big real estate site, and the United States is going to own it, and will slowly, very slowly, we’re in no rush, in development. We’re going to bring stability to the Middle East," Trump told reporters. His proposal represents a dramatic departure from decades of U.S. foreign policy in the region, and it remains unclear how it would be implemented.

Trump described Gaza as "a demolition site" and outlined his vision for its future. "It’ll be reclaimed. It’ll be leveled out, fixed up. There won’t be anybody there. Hamas won’t be there. We’ll be building through other of the very rich countries in the Middle East, they’ll be building some beautiful sites for the people, the Palestinians, to live in," he said. "They’ll be living in harmony and peace, relatively, for the first time in hundreds of years."

On Friday, Trump asserted that Israel would hand over control of Gaza to the United States and reiterated his stance that Palestinians should leave the region. He previously suggested that they be resettled in Egypt and Jordan, though both countries quickly rejected the idea. Trump argued that his plan "would lead to great stability in the area" and claimed it could be achieved with "very little money."

However, he has yet to provide details on how his plan would be executed, raising questions about whether it would require the deployment of American troops. The lack of clarity has fueled skepticism among U.S. policymakers and Middle Eastern leaders, who remain uncertain about the feasibility and implications of Trump's proposal.

I have been suggesting that Saudis are building the new Line city for the Palestinians to live for a while now .

A new city to accommodate 9 million people not to far from Gaza and in a desolate location

Say what you want about Donald but his comment got the result he wanted.

The Arab world is meeting now to discuss how to avoid getting involved with the U.S.

The TRUMP effect works. You have to believe.

Remember, everything is a negotiation.  In this case, it was do you want Israel and the U.S. to rebuild Gaza? We are ready to do so.  OR do you want to get off your \assets and fix this?

Same with the U.N., they start to see all that money disappearing and have to fly coach instead of 1st class.

He’s caved.

Right after weakening a bunch of US Allies in the region.

Do you not understand that?

Does anyone in Gaza have title deeds for their land? Who actually owns the land?

Trump warns aid to Egypt, Jordan could be halted if they don’t take in Gazans he wants relocated out of Strip

Exactly. If the Arab countries don't like the Trump Plan, they can pony up the money and rebuild Gaza themselves. And host the Gazans while construction is happening.  The vast majority of people living in Gaza are refugees, aren't they? They can be refugees somewhere else.

China will be interested to rebuild Gaza. Hamas and Fatah had talks with China in Beijing. Trump’s aggressive plan will benefit China

And good luck to them if they choose to get involved.

Hosting the conciliation unity talks by China was strategic. They will

present itself as an alternative player in the region with less of a diplomatic gamble. Trump has handed China a pathway into the Middle East.

Successively USA fraud. Only business counts. Deliberate war to throw out Palestine. USA plunders natural resources of Palestine and appropriates new canal that is being built.

No such country as Palestine. Just a bunch of terrorists and trouble makers. They came from Jordan many years ago and stole the land.

Since Oct 7 2023. China has increasingly positioning themself as a mediator in the crisis.

Maybe I should not have opened my mouth and uttered such unbelievable stupidity and suggested an illegal annexation and possible war after all. I forgot. I promised not to create new wars. I have been forgetting alot lately. Guess my age is catching up with me.

It sure would have been a nice 5 star development, though. I could have made a fortune on it. Oops, I just got excited sitting next to my good buddy Benjamin. I knew he would like the plan. Guess few others feel the same way. Yikes, those Arab voters sure must regret voting for me. Who cares? I don't.

The art of proxy wars still exists. Just feed Israel with enough weapons, and consider job done.

Just look at Benjamin Netanyahu poorly hidden smile while Don talking

Not different from Americans you mean? Many years ago, they also stole land, and managed almost to completely waste all of the indigenous people living there

Not sure why Americans care about those people.  Seriously, I do not care about Gaza or any other folks in that region.  I wish they would continue on their progress to wipe each other out....just do not interfere with my retirement here in Thailand.  Enjoy meeting your maker.  I will enjoy the weather, the women and the weed.

And?  What did you think the Natives were doing here before the Pilgrims?  Having PTA meetings?  Holding Kum by Yah festivals?  Read the book "Empire of the Summer Moon" to learn a thing or two.  There are many other documented books are Natives behaving badly!  It took some religious folks to come here and build America into the great country it is!
