Historic Drop in Illegal Border Crossings Following Trump’s Crackdown

Oh, So just dont bother then.

No, you need to keep it under control, as there are ways to get a legal work permit. Some like to circumvent that, just like here, but it has to be done legally. If the Americans that hire these illegals were fined harsher, it would help, and would cut down on the amount coming in. Then they would have to hire those there legally, or citizens.

Yes here, in Thailand.

I can't help it when some people like to discuss the USA on this farangs in Thailand forum.

And when you discuss it, why should I not laugh about you, the USA, and your stupid new leader?

I am sure Breitbart has also a forum section. If you want to confirm that you are the best and greatest, then that is probably a great place for you.

Why would you laugh about others lives if you aren't involved in them? Millions of Americans are happy where they are, and I will be also when I move back. Being under control here isn't pleasant, and some things are downright dangerous, especially for girls and women. If you don't live in the US, you have very little idea what living there is like. News doesn't show but a fraction of what goes on there, just as it does here. Many here seem to think everything is shown on the news stations daily, but again, it's just a fraction of what goes on.

Just like reading this topic. This makes people think there's a huge drop in illegals coming in just because it's lower for the month so far. It will never stop. People like the US, and those that live in countries where there's poverty and strife, look to going there just to see if they can make money, knowing full well there's a huge chance they'll be sent back asap. They hear about friends and family who have gotten work there, so they give it a try. Some countries are very hard to survive in, especially if you have a family to support.

This was more to do with the mass influx under Biden, 15million is a crazy amount.

They've been coming in daily all along. Biden wanted families to be together. Illegals were still being stopped every day, all day long. There's just so many people that are trying to get into countries, and it fluctuates. It's not a set amount that comes in daily, every day, year after year.

It's good to see the UK is ramping up deportations. They're raiding the work places. Do you agree or disagree with these practices or are you concerned having nails done will get more expensive.

I mentioned already a couple of times that I don't like illegal immigration.

What I think is somehow funny when farangs here in Thailand complain about illegal immigration back home.

How many of the farangs in Thailand, and possibly in this forum, are illegal in Thailand? How many have a tourist visa and work illegally?

How many overstay their visa?

When Thailand deports people without valid visa then often we have members here complaining how unfair this is.

But when it happens back home: jail them, deport them, now!

Whilst I agree that we can all be hypocritical at times the two situations are very different.

The Thai immigration policy is better enforced by the Thai authorities than successive UK governments. Not one Satang is handed out to foreigners who come to Thailand and foreigners (in theory) have to show the ability to support themselves, including housing, hospitals and welfare.

In the case of Thailand those foreigners have almost exclusively arrived legally.......the rule bending happens later and flourishes on the back of the endemic corruption in the country.

Let's see a Farang try and impose his culture, or religion, on Thais/Thailand.

Actually, I think that happens all the time.

Did you never read any complain here why Thai do things like this and that and not the proper ways like farangs do it?

And then there are the Christian missionaries out there - often with dubious tricks.

Still different........................and not tolerated for long

In Los Angeles, it was estimated that perhaps 70 percent of domestic workers were immigrants who were in the U.S. illegally[6].

You've answered your own question.

Bigger question now is will any of those rich people (many currently homeless [sort of]) be held accountable for breaking the law also and how will they feel paying union rates to replace them with legal servants?

Well done King Don.

Keep up the good work.

Actually, President of the United States is bit like the Elected King(even though not exactly the same as the absolute monarch; can be impeached and kicked out sometimes).

With the capability to scrap existing laws at will.

And so much influence on society.

A lot more than countries whose political leader is the prime minister(not even  the head of the state).

more like cnn, abc, ny times, washington post    aka  "FAKE NEWS"

I am looking forward to all those Americans doing the work which (illegal) immigrants used to do cheap.

Harvesting fruits and vegetables, maids, etc.

I guess that will be good for the national health. People will lose a lot of weight working in those jobs.

Once those welfare checks stop coming people will need something to do. It beats smoking crack and sleeping and pooping on sidewalks.

I never lived in the USA. And I don't have any plans to ever visit that strange country.

It seems many people in this thread have reading difficulties. Or problems with understanding.

I didn't write anywhere that I support illegal immigrants, not in this thread, not in other threads.

Please read slowly, try to understand it, maybe read it again. And then think about it. And if you have a reply then post it.

Just posting without thinking does not make much sense - at least for people who want to have a fact based discussion.

Okay. So can I ask you to clarify where you are from?

FWIW Australia offers nice visas for people to come and do these harvesting jobs. They don't stay longer than a year. There was never ever ever a reason to let millions of people in unvetted during a pandemic.

Thtas just  MSM, democrat talking points to make illegal immigration acceptable and necessary.

The legal immigrants will do it.

They are still letting in mexican immigrants that apply through the correct channels and pass the criminal and character checks as required. They will take any job as they would probably be sending money back home to their families. What Trump has done is to cut off the thousands of illegals with the criminals among them who were let in.I say well done Donald.

Well, the immigrants who mostly have "no violent criminal record" and are not gang members have been in Guantanamo a week already...
