No.

Why is important to know anyway?

Because you claimed N London for the below experiences.

I was just in London. It wasn't much different to how it was when I lived there 30-odd years ago, except there's no traffic, the air is clean, public transport is infinitely better and more affordable. Damn expensive though - is that what "Londonstan" means? Why don't you tell us of your experiences.

Yes I know it well, its very large, what part of North London that is not much different to 30 years ago?

He pretty much bankrupted it and needed the Tories to bail him out.

He did, did he?

You are, of course, aware that the Tories cut TfL's operational funding in 2015 which caused a massive hole in its finances and meant it had to rely almost exclusively on revenue from fares. You are, of course, also aware of a thing called Covid which caused ridership to plummet by over 90%. Where was Sadiq supposed to magic up that money from?

So, according to you, Sadiq must have asked the government to bring in "austerity" measures (which were such a huge success and benefitted so many people) and he also caused Covid.

That's a surprise. You sound like you'd fit in there.

It isn't, and I understand if you wouldn't want to admit which area it is. Londoners and their postcodes...  😄

I don't live there so not fussed about any postcode nonsense, I live in Bangkok. No idea what you are wibbling on about or what relevance it has to anything.

Not to mention soaring crime on the tubes.

As Khan is responsible for both the Met Police and TFL, who will you blame for that?

Perhaps leave your make believe claims in Bangkok then if you don't want to be questioned on them eh

Oh I thought you were claiming to be some kind of expert on London.

Obviously not.

Your defense of Khan starts to make more sense.

As do your constant personal attacks on him - we all know the reason.

Well apparently you know more about London than anyone else despite not revealing which part, so you may as well now claim to know the reasons for what others think of Khan

What is make believe about these statements exactly? Is the air dirtier, the traffic worse, is public transport worse and less affordable?

"I was just in London. It wasn't much different to how it was when I lived there 30-odd years ago, except there's no traffic, the air is clean, public transport is infinitely better and more affordable. "

All of it. You claim you went to North London. Where in North London? Those claims are easily checked with a location. Until then it's make believe, every last word of it.

I was staying in N16. But I am talking about the whole of London as I have friends and had meetings all over the city. Air is much cleaner, transport is much better and more affordable, traffic is almost non existent in the overall scheme of things. You can dispute that all you want but you would look pretty silly. If you think any of those are worse now than 30 years ago please give an example - it is going to be good!

Londoners continually vote for Sadiq. He's the most successful mayor of all time if you judge by how many times he has been re-elected. But Jonny comes out with nonsense like he destroyed transport and ruined people's lives with low emissions mandates. And Jonny does not live there - he knows nothing other than what he reads in his right wing groups and media and he parrots it and looks, frankly, stupid.

Talk to Londoners.

I went to London. All over 3 years ago and it was far worse than the last time I went which was 15 years before that. See how easy it was to dispute your claims?

Oh I am a Londoner. From North London!

You didn't dispute anything. I gave examples which you keep ignoring. Why don't you try? Was the air quality worse? Was the traffic worse? Was public transport worse?

What, specifically, was worse this time around?

What's worse for me? It's horrendously expensive. There's a lot of litter, but then there always has been and that is true throughout the UK. I also spent time up in Merseyside and it was filthy and run down with absolutely terrible transport - do you want the post code?

Your examples are in your head only.

The traffic was worse, you said there was none....lol, the transport was worse and was not cheaper as you claim. Prove me wrong. Again see how easy this is?

Ok, waste of time playing now.

Goodbye.

Final try: Why does Sadiq keep getting re-elected by Londoners then? Why are they happy with him if everything is worse?

Games? What games?? I countered a post saying Sadiq Khan had destroyed public transport and "ruined people's lives" with low emissions mandates.

I ask you again as someone who doesn't live in London and has just admitted they've been there twice in 15 years - Why does Sadiq keep getting re-elected by Londoners then? Why are they happy with him if everything is worse as you claim?

Thought I would give you one more try to answer a direct question as I am curious how you can reconcile the fact he keeps getting re-elected by Londoners (who live in London) with your opinion (after two visits in 15 years) that everything is worse.

But yet again you don't. Says it all.

This says it all actually.

I told you my experiences and they conflict with yours, so that must this playing that your on about. I dispute your claims there was no traffic and that the transport was cheaper 30 years ago.

He has a massive head start on the other candidates.

100% of the Muslim population of London vote for Khan.

Muslims will always vote for one of their own no matter what their policies are or how bad their track record is.

Khan has this job for as long as he wants it.

I live in London voted for Khan and would do so again. I appreciate it's expensive but then owning your own house having a great pension and a free bus pass sugars any problems that it might cause. Not for everyone and when you move out there is no going back. The air is clean and ULEZ is part of that , Bangkok no thanks - couldn't wait to get away this time. Obviously mileage may vary.

Thank you. It's nice to hear from someone with first hand experience of living there, so tired of the nonsense from people who don't and who don't even visit. I lived there until I moved to Asia and have lots of family there and friends and they are all happy with Khan and his achievements. I visit twice a year.

We know why the right hate Khan and it is nothing to do with ULEZ. Londoners like him (not only "the Muslims" as is claimed).

maybe I'm old fashioned but I don't like the idea of a Pakistani being mayor of London. Imagine if the mayor of Bangkok was some Farang born in Thailand. Doesn't sit well with me.
