You miss the point. We shouldn't have to rely on "trust me bro" when musk says it. I can't believe that someone is so naive as to believe that conflict of interest rules aren't necessary.

Have the sources come forward.

I guess the  OP does not understand how men like, for example, Sidney Hillman and Elon Musk operate in the context of the US government.

No. If you had bothered to acquaint yourself with the facts you would know that musk is attempting to get approval for his so-called self-driving system from this agency. No other automobile makers are doing that.

And your point about the IRS is even worse. Once again your airing your ignorance in public. The bide administration added lots of IRS agents specifically to review the tax avoidance and downright evasion practice by the very wealthy. A huge amount of income for the government is being missed currently. So there is an inherent conflict of interest there.

Facts not in evidence you mean?

So with half the staff, approval should take twice as long, yes?

The IRS has nothing to do tax avoidance, that would be Congress, and I think tax evaders could be identified much more effectively than adding staff.

Whai is a typical tax evasion strategy used by the very wealthy?

Tax evasion is illegal. That’s how they got Cohen to flip on Trump. Do you think Musk and or Trump are tax evaders?

First of all the Trump administration has been obfuscating about Elon Musk's role in DOGE. Trump says he's the head, others deny it. That will soon come to a head when a judge adjudicates the issue and the administration will be required to identify who heads DOGE.

But regardless of that, the ethical principle of conflict of interest does exist. And you, apparently, are incapable of understanding why it exists.

OK, pick and choose your ethics. Trump/Musk are on firm grounds ethically and constitutionally under US Law.

I defy you to show us otherwise. Its laughable you preach "ethics" while applauding lawfare by your philosophical comrades

Its my tax dollars btw not yours being stolen.

A small government team regulating the sort of autonomous cars that Elon Musk says represent the future of Tesla, his car company, is getting cut nearly in half by the Musk-led U.S. Doge Service, according to people briefed on the reductions.

Now isn't that a surprise?

Seems you are in need of lessons in ethics. The number of lawsuits open currently and the stays by the courts on several actions with Doge would say you are wrong and need to do some homework.  You preach lawfare on anyone opposing trump LEGALLY but you ignore his admitted confessions he was going after anyone that challenged him in his loss in the prior election or bad mouthed him and that's exactly what he's been doing as recently as yesterday in more firings in the pentagon and military chain of command.

Show me one lawsuit that will be sucessful. Pick one. The one you want. Show us how its a winner. You wont and cant. you dont even know how to cite.
