I see this thread has descended into a morons tea party.

Zero chance that Putin attacks a NATO country. He actually started laughing last week when asked by a reporter, saying that this was made up nonsense by the Western press to scare their populations into supporting Ukraine. So - for the morons among you -

Putin cannot risk attacking any NATO nation as it activates Article 5 mutual self-defence. There is zero chance that NATO would not respond, not a chance in hell. Poland alone, in my opinion, would defeat Russia, never mind any other NATO powers getting involved. And here's why:

The Russian military is rancid - as proved in Ukraine. NATO has always known that their military is rancid.

Russia cannot be defended, their borders are too wide open and vast. Relying upon "General Winter" and the open spaces to suck in attacking forces doesn't work in modern warfare.

You would find around 30 countries attacking Russia across a vast European border - then you would have the American 5th Fleet, as well as Australia, NZ, possibly Japan attacking from the Pacific.

Russia knows it can't win.

So for all of you morons cracking on about Russia will attack Poland blah blah, just shut your stupid mouths, switch off your Internet and go visit a shrink.

Utter moron talk.

You're so behind the times.

Article 5 is dead.

Trump is allied now with Putin.

NATO is neutered without the U.S.

Whether the U.S. literally leaves NATO or not doesn't matter.

They are out in effect.

Morons, huh? Who are the morons?

Russia has 2.5m troops and old gear. Two Euros can beat that. No hope against many. Do keep up.

Concerning your first question you may like to ask trump why he keeps on selling stuff and why he didn't pay for his own costs  (as promised)  during the lection cycles. It's already been fact checked by credible organisations , US has not  funded $300 billion+ in aid for Ukraine, plus in fact European countries have jointly contributed more than the US. What is extraordinary an incoming President changing terms for aid after supply; leaves US aid with no creditability. Additionally alleging Ukraine started the current conflict.

I doubt the Ukraine expects to win the war, as in defeat Russia on the battlefield. More likely they want to cause so much damage on the Russians that it withdraws from the field. Defending one's country is often a zero-compromise game.

I keep wondering what does Putin has on him, it must be huge, for him to avoid mentioning Putin being a dictator, walking backwards from his original comments threatening Putin with sanctions if he keep going at it and all of a sudden the "puppet" did an 180 degree turn, it must be something huge very huge, back in 2016 somebody in the Clinton camp  already mentioned something on the same line of thoughts

you haven't been seeing the news,  in the US showing people in the grocery stores, maybe you should or maybe not, quite sure you would find some diversion/excuse to justify their complains about grocery prices increase

Sanctions have not had the desired effect, forcing the Russian economy onto a war footing in order to compensate, and diplomatic efforts to isolate Russia have proved disastrous, driving the country into the arms of China and North Korea.  The Russians have diversified and found new customers for their oil and natural gas. Yet the EU seems determined to continue down the same failed path; futilely announcing more sanctions and military aid when the moment has passed. Despite the naysayers, it is clearly time for a new approach. Diplomacy is a way of telegraphing this to the Russians and the world.

When did you stop recording that RT broadcast?

Are you 15yo? Teenagers are silly enough to call people fascist. How ignorant.

It's not just a word. It has a meaning.

Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/ FASH-iz-əm) is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology and movement,[1][2][3] characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.[2][3] Opposed to anarchism, democracy, pluralism, egalitarianism, liberalism, socialism, and Marxism,[4][5] fascism is at the far right of the traditional left–right spectrum.[6][5][7]

Yes - fascists are famed for avoiding wars at all costs and going out their way to negotiate peace treaties.

He quoted Wiki, a discredited leftist site. Fascism was founded by a socialist.

It is bizarre - and they also forget about the Abraham Accords from his first Presidency, the greatest diplomatic achievement in the Middle East this century, by a country mile.

Another peace initiative - and if the Dems had pulled it off they would be showered with Nobel Peace prizes.

But not Trump. multiple peace and recognition agreements in the Middle East and he's a "fascist."

Just shocking.

Have you ever talked to the Russian people outside of Moscow, these people don't even feel a war is going on in Ukraine. And where are all these pictures of mass killings and destruction on the News Media. Sure, there is some, but  even my Russian friend says that the Russian people would not want to kill the Russian people in Ukraine, but Zelensky was fine with that.

Why don't you just post the PRAVDA link?

it would save you typing all that propaganda!

I am not sure he is in Thailand, as he seems to spend a lot of time bagging it.

My hypothesis - he is shivering in some miserable bedsit in Birmingham or Manchester, cranking out bitter posts as his sole entertainment.

It's an interesting situation. Trump wants an end to the war and Europe is seeming to want to continue it. I don't think Europe alone can reverse the way the war is going, leading to a Ukrainian victory. There's a lot of US dependency in both the EU and NATO. One of the big things Ukraine needs is boots on the ground. Will the EU and NATO be willing to do this? If they do then we move into the realm of WWIII.
