Advice about house/land ownership

Featured Replies

wifes mum have a house in Isaan with no documents(ownership papers) there is no papers, never been. The land title is sor kor 1/government land. She fear once her mum is gone,(my wife is the only child and only have her mum alive),there going to be cousins etc that would be very interested to "take over" if possible. Q: how could my wife protect the house(legally) in case of a dispute?

Living in the house is the best guarantee of future ownership.

Ask advice at your Land office. Take as much info as you have with you. Usually they are very helpful.

No, land office are usually good. Had several dealings with the land office and they don't worry about Falangs as any titles etc. are a Thai domain.

My Thai wife usually contributes to their pension fund when we visit. 🙂
