As the recent alert from the US Embassy points our - the last time they deported a bunch of these guys back to China there were bombings in places frequented by Chinese. Will it happen again - in my opinion yes, it's just a matter of time.

connda Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Let me summarize: * Uyghurs come to Thailand as asylum seekers. * Thailand doesn't accept asylum seekers. * Uyghurs become "guests" of Thailand while in asylum limbo. * The International community knows of the Uyghurs refugees plight, and criticizes Thailand. * None of the nations criticizing Thailand offers to grant the Uyghurs asylum. * Uyghurs write letters to the UN and International organizations. * The International community knows of the Uyghurs refugees plight, and continues to criticizes Thailand. * Still none of the nations criticizing Thailand offers to grant the Uyghurs asylum. * Thailand finally deports/repatriates Uyghurs because - they don't accept asylum seekers. * Members of the International community melt down and continue to criticize Thailand while ignoring that their own countries never offered them asylum. * The US and Japan warn ex-pat citizens of potential violent repercussions for the Uyghur repatriation. 🤔 Inquiring minds wonder why the US or Japan didn't offer the Uyghurs asylum and "lead by example." 🤔 Inquiring minds think it has to do with NIMBY.
