The Thai Meteorological Department has issued its second warning regarding upcoming spring storms expected to impact northern Thailand from 6th to 8th March 2025. During this period, the lower northern regions, parts of the lower northeast, the central lower region including Bangkok, and the east will experience thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail in some areas. Lightning strikes may also occur.

These weather conditions are a result of a medium-strength high-pressure system or cool air mass moving from China towards northeastern Thailand and the South China Sea, colliding with the hot to very hot temperatures in upper Thailand.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to exercise caution to avoid dangers related to the storms. It is recommended to stay clear of travelling through stormy areas or being exposed in open spaces, under large trees, or near unstable structures and billboards.

Farmers are encouraged to strengthen their crops and prepare to prevent damage to their agricultural produce and livestock. Furthermore, it is vital to take health precautions during this period of changing weather.

The public is advised to stay updated with the announcements from the Thai Meteorological Department, accessible via their website [www.tmd.go.th](http://www.tmd.go.th) or by contacting them at 0-2399-4012-13 and 1182, which are available 24 hours a day.

This announcement was made on 4th March 2025 at 5 PM, with a follow-up scheduled for 5th March 2025 at 5 AM, reported Siam Rath.
