29 Tourists Rescued as Speedboat Springs Leak off Krabi Mainland
I doubt they were traveling between Koh Lipe in Satun Province and Phuket with a stop in Koh Phi Phi. Lack of factchecking here. -

Thailand Poised for High-Speed Rail Revolution Linking Three Airports
This is the project that was "just one step away from a Cabinet decision" in February 2018... https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se-asia/thailand-approves-high-speed-rail-link-connecting-three-international-airports ...and for which CP already signed a contract in October 2019... https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/1779144/cp-led-consortium-signs-three-airports-train-contract ...so please forgive me if I don't rush out to buy my tickets just yet. -

Thailand Seizes 200,000 Illegal E-Cigarette Items in Major Bust
Only a non smoker would say this or someone who has successfully given up. This, however misses the point that Thailand says it's protecting the health of children and youth by cracking down on vapes when cigarettes a very dangerous and highly addictive product is legal and available everywhere with a flourishing online black-market. -

Thai Police Arrest German Pedophile Linked to Child Porn Network
"Steffen admitted to managing two dark web sites with over 5,000 child pornography videos, attracting over 10,000 subscribers and generating illegal earnings estimated at 3.5 million baht. He confessed to beginning this illegal activity after retiring and moving to Thailand." 3.5 million baht for 10,000 subscribers seems to be on the low side. That works out to 350 baht per subscriber. Condisering the content I think 35 million baht, at mimum, would be a more realistic amount. Maybe hiding the money for his retirment from prison. Yes a deviant cnut, but unfortunately a smart one. The worst kind and a danger to society! It takes brains to set up an operation like this. -

Health insurance with pre-existing conditions
Well there are 2 reasons people on here go for self-insurance: 1. is that they have some medical condition which prevents them from getting health insurance, and 2. Those that want to let you know how much smarter they are than the actuaries at Lloyd's (where almost all health insurance policies eventually end up).
