Water splashing is the normal custom during Songkran

Is there any city in Thailand that minimizes water splashing

If not..is there a nearby foreign country that does not have water splashing during songkran

Thanks very much

Hua Hin has minimal water splashing.  It's confined to certain designated areas, for the most part, and those are easily avoidable depending upon where you want to go and what you want to do.

Malaysia has none of this nonsense.

Bang Saphan in PKK. Anyone wanting to get involved heads 25km north to Baan Krood where it's full on. Stay at Suan Luang beach and you'll never know its madness elsewhere.
