George FmplesdaCosteedback Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I have to say this is badly reported. There is little about what the dispute was about and how the altercation began. There is nothing about the case against the Thais. Whoever wrote this is expecting everyone to look it up online or read the reports in the UK press. Only by reading the sensible replies do we get an idea of what has happened and what is likely going forward. The court cases will sort this out when they are eventually held.

''They confronted the pair, a couple in their 40s said to have been their neighbours, and told them to leave the property. But the unnamed man, believed to be from the UK, then launched a vicious attack on them aided by his partner, a Thai national, which was captured on CCTV.'' Hopefully , as it was all captured on CCTV that must mean something positive for the British couple ?? Surely the British thug and Thai wife cannot get away with such blatant violence ? A slanging match I can live with, but beating an elderly couple unconscious ? I really hope court can find the younger couple guilty and that the elderly couple find peace. 1

CG1 Blue Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Why do people keep commenting about a 'Thai couple' being the attackers? The attackers were a bloke from the UK and his Thai wife! People who don't read threads before commenting....🤦♂️ 1

Where it all went wrong for the Brit couple was buying a house- I wonder how much they know about Thailand? Had they just rented, none of the subsequent trouble would have happened. Anyway, why would people of their age want to buy property? Were they intending to leave it to their children?
thaibeachlovers Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 4 hours ago, ikke1959 said: You are too kind... there No justice system in THailand... A Dutch man claimed at the court that he had to paid much more for the same treatment in a Government hospital than a Thai for exact the same and went to court but the judge decided that foreigners have more money so it was ok this double pricing.. And wht do you think about the refusing of bails for the protestors every time... but when a former fugitive is coming back, he is the hero and for his violating section 112 he get bail and even is allowed to visit other countries and get a political job... and the Red Bull saga... and many more cases. Thailand is only based on corruption and the few persons in power who tell the judges what to decide.. Even a Jury could not change that, and the same for the ridiculous banning of MFP and always in favor of the Government parties... No there is no justice system and it is easy as most Thais are low educated and earn just enough not starve and can't even afford a lawyer... So justice system feels safe. The only thing to change things is that the public won't accept it anymore If I assume that everything you say is true, doesn't it mean that farangs need to avoid trouble in LOS. Had they rented and had a problem with scum neighbours, then they could just move, but oh no, they had to go all too posh to rent and buy an expensive house, which IMO was their first mistake. Then they made more mistakes. Farangs should learn more about the culture they want to live in before making expensive mistakes. 1

I had an old guy cut in front of me a while back on a Friday night back in the home country, I beeped my horn and he kept brake checking me, until we came to the red lights, when I pounced out of the car, ran up to his window and ready to start throwing em, he wound his window down and spat at me saying F off, I swear, I could have knocked him out and done some serious damage, because I was so enraged, but I managed to calm down, walk back to my car and laugh in pity for the guy. Bwahahahahaha, cool story hansel. 1

As a foreigner living 20 years in Thailand, I will never understand the Thai culture.. Even in 20 years I don't know what their culture is.. Friendships are based on money and profits, justice is far away, they can get angry for nothing... in fact the only I noticed is that in fact you have to keep Thais away from you as much as possible.. and live your own life here.. that is the best.. I thought many times I had friends, but Thai people don't know friendship.. and they let you down as soon as they don't get what they want... which can be everything. money, borrrowing something, a tiny discussion, and things that in the western society are no problems, will cost you here the friendship with them. And buying a property what is the problem with that??? Is non of your business why they want to and what they will do with them after they are gone.. That is another thing. Thais are very intrusive in your life 1 2
