I need some good suggestions on how I might pay my Pattaya electric bill online, without the actual paper bill.

Every month, my condo emails me a copy of the paper bill, which includes the barcode from the paper bill.  I'd like to be able to pay this bill somehow, by just using this barcode. Perhaps at a 7-11?  I have money in a Thai Bank account, but I don't want this account accessible online.

Anyway, if I could solve this problem, I could take off for a few months at a time without actually being in Pattaya.

If you have an old bill for the reference numbers (in order to set it up) try the PEA app 🙂

You will need a "valid" Thai ID, your pink card should work, or your GF/BF ID, failing that there are apps that will generate an ID that works.

If you have a Thai bank account you can just scan the QR/bar code, open a fresh account just for these payments if you're paranoid.

I guess opening a second account just to pay the electric bill would be a solution.  I'm trying to keep this simple.   It's too and I can't somehow just pay the electric bill six months in advance.

I set my PEA app up in my name using my passport number.

Can pay with Kasikorn, also Lazada there is a payment option but no reports yet of anyone using it

I pay mine through Lazada.

I don't have a Thai bank account, but my UK credit card (no foreign fees) is set up for Lazada.

When I'm not in Thailand I usually pay every other month, just because the admin fee is as much as the no-use bill.

I have the PEA app in my name.

I have an automatic deduction from a Thai bank account set up that's been working seamlessly for many years. However recently it didn't and without warning my power was cut off because of some glitch months earlier. I managed to get help to get an online account set up and fixed the problem quickly to get the power back on same day. I want to continue with the autopay but I'm not confident yet it will continue to work well.

Yeah, the app does now accept PP numbers, it was along while back that we did ours.

I stand corrected 🙂
